She was appointed by the governor to serve on the State Committee for the Fitters and Dispensers of Hearing Instruments. She is a member of the International Hearing Society, Texas Hearing Aid Association and eWomenNetwork. She is an active volunteer with the Starkey Hearing Foundation.
