Barry's work is AMAZING! He fixed what was an impossible task (broken headstock), what guitar center refused to fix, said it was "not fixable"
A year later the guitar is in its best shape, excellent quality and prices, Barry keeps you posted along the process, best in town!

Barry is amazing! The quality and care his team puts in to repairing and preserving guitars is beyond reproach! I’ve taken three guitars to him over the years and each time the results were beyond any expectation. I found Barry first when I was turned away from the local big-box guitar store because they didn’t have the skill or capability to bring my WW2-era Gibson acoustic back to life while preserving it’s character. I was bounced from a few others on recommendations for the level of skill required to Barry and he did not disappoint. He also repaired a crack & binding split on a newer painted finish Dean acoustic and also helped bring a family heirloom 79’ Gibson Hummingbird back to life after years of neglect.

I highly recommend Frets & Necks for any guitar work!

Barry has been working on my guitars for many years. I've tried others but now I won't let anyone else touch them. He's my go to guy when it comes to my musical instruments. He's far and away the best!

Barry and his workers are incredible to work with. Very personable and makes you feel like family when you walk in, extremely knowledgeable on instrument repair. I was having trouble with my guitar because it would buzz every time I played it, I took it to guitar center and the repair tech though it was coming from the bridge and said it would cost over 200 to fix it at least. Got a second opinion with Barry and after a thorough look at it he pinpointed the buzzing sound, which was coming from the preamp knobs he fixed it right then and there. Since then I've had no problems at all. He will tell you what he will do upfront, price, and how long the repair will take. He will keep in contact with you through each step so their are no surprises. Honest, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and reasonable in price

I have been a satisfied customer of this establishment since it opened. Mr. Barry Martin, proprietor/luthier has done exceptional work on everything I have ever taken to him, from full restorations to re-stringing and set ups. He is a trained and highly experienced luthier, unlike other people that throw on a smock or apron and think they can repair instruments. Barry is an honest and truthful person. Me, being a Law Enforcement professional, appreciate that, and trust him and his judgement. Don't get fooled by the rest, go to the best, Frets and Necks.

If you are in a big hurry go to Guitar Center. But if you want the finest craftsmanship and quality this is the place. Barry has done work for me on my beloved '69 Gibson Hummingbird, Martin D12-20 and is now restoring my banjo. His work is beyond compare. I would never trust my stringed instruments to anyone else. if Stradivari had had an apprentice for guitars it would have been Barron Martin.
