I went to this establishment several times in 2012 and 2013. I just went back in January if 2015 to find the business closed and the phone disconnected. I found another establishment in Lower Nazareth Township on Rte. 191 that was just as good if not better. I have heard from a reliable law enforcement officer that Patriot is no longer in business because of illegal practices (i.e. buying stolen diamonds and guns that were known to be stolen). He was also at least three months behind on his rent. I think that explains the phone being disconnected with no forwarding number and no sign on the door with no forwarding address. It's a shame b/c he did seem like a nice guy. Maybe just got a little greedy.

Was a great business, but now gone/closed from the current location; not sure if re-opened elsewhere or done..



Mark was the man if not a fair buyer/seller of metals and coins. I'd say the best there was in the Lehigh Valley. If only there was a way of determining if they will re-open or if there is another location. I'd definitely deal with Mark/Patriot again.

Amazing customer service, informative, top price paid for gold, friendly, quick, easy and honest.....would absolutely take other items there.

Mark is a knowledgable and friendly guy, and paid me a more than fair price on the items I brought. All testing and wieghing was done right in front of me (beware anyone who does differently!) and he was patient in answering all my questions. (Again, beware anyone who seems put off by your questions!) I did a lot of looking around and found three things that should help you if you are looking for someone trustworthy.



1. Forget about coupons. Anyone who will give you 'extra' money via a coupon is probably low balling you on the initial price. Think about it; where do you think that extra 25 or 50 doallrs is coming from? They build it inot the pricing they are giving you... so you're really just getting your own money back. (And probably still leaving some on the table!)

2. Anyone who offers a 'price for today' or gives quotes over the phone is probably a scammer. No one can give you a fair offer without seeing the pieces first and determining the percentage of gold to base metal, quality, etc.

3. Be careful about web reviews. Many of the sellers I looked up had glowing reviews, but they were all done by users who posted only one post in their entire history and had no other info on their profile. These were most likely posts by the delaers themselves. One well known dealer in the area had 6 positive posts, all done by users who had registered within minutes of each other.



Do your homework, shop around. And if you want an honest opinion from a REAL person, I suggest you go to Patriot *last*. You'll end up satisfied, and walk out with cash and no regrets.
