General Info: The Easton Police Department works to provide a safe and secure environment, safeguards lives and property, and preserves peace through the enforcement of local, state and federal laws. It has a communication center that responds to police, fire and medical emergencies. The department operates an animal control division that relocates stray and missing animals and provides shelter. In addition, the Easton Police Department operates a K-9 unit and hosts the Explorer Post program. It employs a school resource officer who educates citizens regarding the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program. The department also conducts vacation house checks and seat belt safety awareness programs. The Easton Police Department is located in Easton, Conn.
