Mac Men Computer Repair

I took my mac to them, and I was so pleased. If you have a phone or computer problem, check them out, you will not be disappointed. I mentioned them to a wireless phone store, and I just said, I took my mac to them, and they had already heard of them and they too would recommend the Mac Men! Very reasonable!

Took my windows 10 laptop in after experiencing issues with an application I downloaded that caused my computer's lock screen to blink non-stop and prevent me from entering the computer. Took it to geek squad and they looked at it for about half a second and said "only option to to wipe it and back it up. that will cost you 100 and take about five days" I laughed myself over to MacMen, for him to say he will look at it, and the cost will only be 50 IF he fixes it. They were very polite, and not only this he took the time to look at my computer early on as I believe he understood how worried I was (college student, project due hours ago)



After a phone call from him just a few hours later saying he could not quite figure out how to fix the problem due to some window's 10 issues screwing up command prompt, I decided to do a little research myself and found some command prompt commands that the developer of the problem-causing app suggested. I brought in those commands, ManMen tweaked them and forced them to work (despite initial issue) and eventually all was fixed on my computer! He told me not to worry about the price as I did "half the work" but with all the work he put into it, I insisted and we settled at a half price. These guys did an amazing job, they care about their customers, unlike Geek Squad who want nothing more than your wallet and don't know anything about computers.

I don't EVER write customer reviews for any products/services, but I think this store deserves some praise!



I spilled some liquid into my mousepad of macbook pro and my cursor was moving around on its own and clicking random things. When I took it to Geek Squad in Best Buy, they told me that something might be wrong with the hard drive and said I might have to get the whole laptop replaced. You can imagine my WTF face when they told me that.



My friend suggested Mac Men. When I took it to the store, they said they'll call me the next day. They worked on my laptop right up until their closing time, and cost came out to be only $80 for mouse replacement. They were fast and friendly, and while I was waiting they kept other customers well-entertained.



Definitely check them out.

These guys are fast and friendly. They fixed my computer in a single day and for far less that the apple store would have charged. The apple store was going to charge over 755$, Mac Men fixed the issue (replaced the screen) for about 130$, that is over a 600$ difference.

My Macbook Pro began slowing down, and eventually became unresponsive to the commands. I brought it into Mac Men, and they provided me with a free diagnostic check. This was ideal, seeing that I'm a college student that doesn't have unlimited funds to throw at my computer.



After a bit, they informed me that the fix was going to be simple and that I did not loose my hard drive. They had to have the part shipped in from California, so they offered me a free loaner in the mean-time.



Great service and very friendly. Easily coming here for all my future problems.

If you ever spill liquid on your Macbook and are around the Lansing area, definitely visit Mac men to repair it for you. These guys are not only super efficient (they cleaned my mac book in less than 4 hours), they are also very reasonable (cost me less than $50). Best buy insisted on sending it to their service center (several days) and projecting a cost of almost $1000. My Macbook Pro works perfectly now, thanks to the Mac men.

This place is awesome. MacBook Pro broke one night and needed it fixed ASAP but cheap because we college kids aren't rolling in dough. So the next morning I get there at 9AM and the guy is like, "Yep, it's your hard drive". And I say "Cool. Let's fix it". So he didn't have the same size hard drive as the one I had - just one bigger and one smaller. So why not, I get the one larger (something good might as well come out of losing every photo, document and application from the past two years). Then as I'm thinking, "how long is this going to take?", the guy is like "I can have this ready this afternoon". And I'm so taken aback by what he said I say, "well, it's okay if it takes until Monday". Such a noob. Anyway, it turned out to be $95 - Best Buy had quoted me $240 and a week to get it done. So I'm happy.



As unfortunate it is to have a hard drive crash and lose everything, the speed, cost and service made the situation that much better. Bravo.

I purchased a pre owned iMac 24 from craigslist and wanted a larger hard drive. I found the "how to" online and decided it was a task I didn't want to take on. I've been building Windows boxes for over 10 years and this is my first Mac.



I called around and was quoted many different labor prices and timelines. Low price end was $95 and 1 week turn around, up to $295 while I waited. I decided to look outside my local area and found Mac Men in East Lansing. Called and spoke to Ben. He knew exactly what was involved and could do the work while I waited. He quoted a VERY reasonable, in fact astonishing price. We set up an appointment. Their storefront was very easy to find. Ben and his brother had me all set up in no time whatsoever. My iMac now has a large enough hard drive and runs great! They took care to perform the tasks as Apple would have their own techs. I can't say enough about how great they and their work is. A true asset to ANY Mac owner out there who doesn't want to deal with the "geniuses" at the mac store or Nerd Herd at Worst Buy.



Mac Men also sell pre owned macs of all types and price ranges. They gave me prices on several laptops and again, amazing value. Please give them a try if you are ever in need.

I had a dead mac laptop that the 'geek squad' could not diagnose, but suggested it was a logicboard problem that would cost about $700 to fix. Mac Men diagnosed the problem, replaced the hard drive, updated the software for that hardrive and had me out the door in 15 minutes for only $75. I am an IT person and was very impressed with their product knowledge and friendly manner.
