Brewer Testing Services

We are attempting to sort out the whereabouts of a test supposedly delivered to our address back in March. We never received a test and the money never came out so I assumed they weren't acting on it so I should find another testing company.
It is now June and I received the nastiest call this morning from someone who wouldn't even give me a name or company, just that we better return a test or they were taking us to collection.
I asked who ye was, what company and what test he as referring to and I was met with more attitude. I asked again and received more yelling. Not a single question was answered and when I said it sounded like a scam he yelled yes it does and hung up.
I looked online to see who the phone number was registered to and found this company. They were recommended by NC education but what a nightmare. I never received confirmation that my order had been placed via email, no one contacted me at any point until today regarding a test. Not sure what I'm going to do.

Terrible. Our entire home school testing group had negative dealings. I have email exchanges where the wife "screams" in all caps. Unprofessional and rude. They sent all of us the wrong tests and blamed us. They sent an email accusing us of not returning tests to them. Gave the tracking information showing it was delivered 2 days before. They checked their porch, and low and behold, there the package was! Never did apologize for being rude. The grade level on score report was incorrect, and my records look like two different tests were taken in the same year but testing was skipped the next year. The wife screamed at me when I questioned her. Emailed her to obtain the corrected records, and she sent me a nasty email telling me how ridiculous I am. Refused to correct the report. I asked them to provide Lexile measurements for qualifying tests. We received a typed letter with bogus numbers that don't even fit the Lexile Score measurement or framework. You can't make this stuff up! Beware

I have been homeschooling for four years now. Brewer Testing came recommeneded to me highly from a parent who had homeschooled for years and both she and her husband, teachers. I have never been treated with anything other than the utmost courteous respect. They have helped me muddle through questions. I love this company!!

We used Brewer Testing for online standardized testing, and had a wonderful experience. The Brewers let us know ahead of time exactly what to expect and what was expected of us. They were professional, kind, and prompt, and we received our results very quickly, and I felt they were accurate. I am a certified test administrator for giving the same test on paper, but online testing is so much more convenient that I plan to use them again!

Ordered test for my 6yr old. I was a month late returning it do to factors beyond my control.

When I called them to confirm that I could send it back I got nothing but yelled at by Dempsey Brewer who than when I asked not to be yelled at he hung up on me. I called back to get his wife who was no better. Yelling and screaming at me did not want me to speak at all.



So I sent the test in. I had gone through the test when my daughter was finished to make sure she marked each answer during which time I looked over her answers. Noting how many were wrong. I got her results back and to my surprise they stated that almost half the test was wrong answers. When I called them to confirm how the test was graded I was again yelled at "how dare you question us" so i asked that someone who was calm and respectful call me back. Two weeks passed and I called again this time Pat Brewer proceeded to tell me that they re-graded the test and now she had even more wrong answers! So when i asked that she send me this test booklet back i would pay completely for it or send it back once i was done reviewing what they said was wrong. Even though this is a consumable test I was told NO! And that now I was bothering them and I should take my business elsewhere. My husband than saw me in tears and called only to get yelled at and hung up on just as i had. May I suggest that every homeschooler look elsewhere for there testing. Had I known that Brewer Testing Services was a mom and pop organization that scream and yell and hang-up on paying customers I would have gone a whole different route. May I also suggest checking your students answers if my daughters test was grading incorrectly twice? and because apparently they cannot put feelings aside for a 6yr old girl to feel proud of herself.

Do NOT use this company! They are claiming that I did not return all materials. I have PROOF from the USPS of the weight of the materials I returned. This weight matches what my order was. Yet, they are still claiming that 3 of the 4 items did not get returned. They admit that the weight stamped on the package is accurate for 4 testing booklets, but that they only received one. They also admit that the packaging was NOT damaged or opened. Yet, they REFUSE to admit that perhaps a mistake on their part was made and that they misplaced my materials. They want to charge me for unreturned items yet I have PROOF that I returned them. Not only that, but one of the testing booklets lost is that of my daughter...therefore I will not be able to get her testing results. Do NOT use this company. Find someone else!
