Don't think you will not be having to put a down payment down on your house. They don't call it a down payment but a Good Faith Deposit and there are several deposits that you have to put up that will amount to several thousand dollars. Also you better not think you will have a pet unless you put a $600.00 deposit down for each one. You will also have a difficult time having any repair work done. Even when under warranty. I was told that I would be able to get a new house and then they said it was a used one that they would have lay new carpeting, and do some other cosmetic work to make it inhabitable again. I was never told about any of the deposits until I had waited 5 months after applying for the house. And yes I applied in April 2012 and I was called in September 2012 and told that I would have to fill out another application packet because the other one had expired. Also when you go to make your monthly payment, they don't call it a house payment. They call it a rental payment. In my opinion this is one of the biggest frauds around under the guise of "helping low income people with buying a home." I for one chose not to have to give my little elderly dog away because of a deposit that was outlandish and impossible to afford when they announced to our town that they wanted to make buying a home affordable to the low income. This will be their loss because I would have been an A-1 home buyer for them. Because of all of this I am giving them a 1 star rating and would have given even lower if I could have.
