Dental Examination
Once we get you checked in, we will let our dental team know you are ready to begin your appointment. Since it is your first time with us, we want to cover all your dental needs and ensure we have a complete picture of your current oral health. We start by getting digital x-rays of your teeth and mouth to help our dentist perform his evaluation and exam. This is usually followed by a periodontal exam with our hygienist.
X-rays
Oral Cancer Screening
Oral cancer can occur at any age and affects both genders and different ethnic groups. The tumors or lesions are often found in the soft tissues in the mouth, including the tongue, lips, gums and throat. Unfortunately, the visible signs are often not present until the later stages, which can make the cancer more difficult to successfully treat. However, oral cancer screenings can identify early signs that are not visible from casual observation but can be detected using specialized equipment.

Teeth Cleaning
If your gums begin to recede, become inflamed or bleed when you brush, you may have gingivitis. Not only can this be uncomfortable and change the appearance of your smile, it can be dangerous to your health. The bacteria that cause gum disease hide in the crevices of your teeth and live in tartar that builds up from plaque that is not removed.
