J W's Travel Stop

At the crossroads of highway 81 and highway 70 sets the Waurika Travel Center and Truck Stop, My family and I have been stopping and enjoying the fantastic meals they have been serving here since I can remember. On November 10, My grandson and I stopped and had lunch there, I ordered him the corndog kids meal $3.50, and I had the Western Hamburger Steak with fries $6.95, the hamburger steak comes covered with bell peppers, grilled onions tomatoes and cheese, served with brown gravy and salad.

The salad bar is just like I like it, nothing fancy, just basic lettuce and the goodies that go with it, it was great, the wait staff was wonderful and overly friendly, and flirty with my grandson, who was eating it up.

I got my hamburger steak, it was a small patty, about 1/8 inch thick, burnt to a crisp and tough as a boot, the handful of fries that came with it were cooked just right and very tasty.

Was not what I was expecting, I thought a hamburger steak would be real hamburger, and not a McDonald patty.

My grandson did enjoy his corndog and fries.

I will eat here again, just to confirm if I should for the 3rd time or not.
