Brights Firewood

I called this business to ask them a simple question about mulch.. The response I received was not to my question.. It was "were did I go to school"? I hate to shop at the big chain stores, but Lowe's was much more helpful.

I've been ordering with Brights for over 10 yrs and have always been satisfied with the firewood. We order early enough, before we need it, to stack and cover it and it burns well. Neighbors order from other companies and get much worse a product. Beware if a "cord" comes in a pick up truck.

Some bark and a little dirt, but mostly wood pieces that I use as tinder was at the bottom of the pile. All to good use.

Will order again.

Bright's is horrible and has horrible customer service! They said on the phone that our purchase would cost $225.00 (unstacked). When they charged our credit card, they charged us $250.00. We had to call and have them honor the price that was originally quoted to us. Then they dropped off wood for us and it was all wet. The driver said that it was because it had rained and that the important thing was that it was "seasoned" firewood. Well, it has been 3 weeks and the wood still is not burning, it just gets all smokey. My husband drilled holes through 2 different pieces of wood and tried to light the shavings on fire and they would not catch on fire. The wood is totally soaked throughout! Never buying wood from them again.

I stopped by brights today for some firewood. The gentleman there was very friendly and helpful. Firewood was good price and good quality. The wood is dry and well seasoned and looks like it will burn quite well. I would recommend brights firewood.

I orderd 1/2 cord the week b/f Christmas @ 1pm, the wood came @ 3pm. It was over a 1/2 cord and the driver dumped on the tarp I put out but the down sides were the wood was C + at best and there was a lot of mulch mixed in with my order. Price was okay and the guy on the phone was helpful. The wood was seasoned but it was very hard to cut (seemed like a lot of stump pieces)

I ordered firewood from brights. They delivered it on the day it was scheduled I paid for the wood with my credit card in advance so that I didnt have to stay home to recieve delivery. when I arrived home that evening the firewood was piled on the tarp I left in my driveway

I have ordered from this company twice and would NOT order from them again.



The first time the wood was cut consistently and small - which works wonderfully for our old house and its small fireplaces. The wood burned good as well.



However, I got the bottom of the pile load in our driveway that was scraped off the dirt/rock ground. I literally had TWO wheelbarrows of dirt and rock and mulch I had to shovel up and haul off. I expect a little mulch but this was ridiculous. Of course that meant I didnt get a full 1/2 cord either. When I called to complain I got a long winded message of how I should always expect a little mulch and that was that.



I ordered another 1/2 cord half way thru the winter as it had been cut so nice before. This load was terrible! No wheelbarrows of dirt to cart away but I highly believe I did not get a full 1/2 cord (it didnt fill up the same space as last time even close).



PLUS many of the pieces are HUGE - I had to create a whole other pile I will need to have split in the spring! They dont even fit in our fireplaces and are big logs. And the wood is not seasoned well. All in all - very inconsistent with sizing.



UGHHH. Will NEVER order from again. Go somewhere else!
