Had my roof replaced with this company I’m very pleased. Jon inspected my roof and got it approved with the insurance company. Kate took care of everything with the insurance company, everyone I dealt with were great. Also insurance company made a mistake on covering the ice shield said they would then changed there mine after the work was done. American Dream only charged me the material no labor I would use this company again in the future.

UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW
This is the second part to my review updated as of 6/15/2015: This is the second review for us with this company, 3 years later we are still waiting for them to fix the numerous problems with our siding. Everything from sagging panels to windows nailed shut (2 to be exact) to framed windows that were done wrong and now I have to duct tape my storm and screen windows onto the frame in order for them to be used. Our post on the front porch, they completely missed the siding when they nailed the wrap on it. Not professional enough to allow for the frost line around our door frames. The list goes on and if anyone wants to truly understand how awful the job was done, you are more than welcome to come and see for yourself. When the job was done the first time, they damaged my husbands car, my neighbors truck and had debris all over the neighborhood as far as 6 houses away. We are STILL finding nails all over our yard! I will add, even though it should never have happened in the first place, someone did come out after our complaint and helped clean up all the debris and they took off the $1,500 worth of damage to my husbands car from the total owed. Almost too obvious to call it "making it right", they did not have a choice. We are business owners to! We have too many issues to possibly list on this site. I have many pictures and Bill has come out and agreed that the job is awful and needs to be addressed. Kudos for recognizing that there are indeed issues that need to be addressed, however, once he returned back to the company, the company is refusing to fix any of it. They DO NOT use their own contractors!! They subcontract every job! They send out the project and accept the lowest bidders for the job. We did manage to get lucky with their roofers and gutter contractors. They did a superb job and were competent and did quality work. But it is a gamble we are not willing to take with our home in the future. Let me quess, you are reading reviews because they have shown up on your doorstep within a few days or weeks of a big storm??? I said they are to storms, what lawyers are to car accidents "ambulance chasers" Everyone I know says "they contacted us!". One of my last reviews a woman from ADHI responded saying they are not ambulance chasers. What do you call it then? We have had the good fortune to have a few good men come by from the company who recognize the problems and have tried their best to resolve our issues. They have said time and time again that they are disappointed to see such shoddy quality of work, but their hands are tied. And they are! The reps that come out do not own the business. They understand the problems, but once back at the office, the management refuses to address the problems. The contractors that they use are who represent their company. They need to start hiring better people and then STAND BEHIND those who screw up the job. It is a gamble for them also to use so many different people, but if you gamble on the wrong contractor and lose, then you need to "make it right" and fix those issues. Love to have you come by, talk with my other friends and see for yourself! I do realize that "someone" from ADHI WILL respond to this with some eloquent response that will sound all professional and make us look like we are "way off" in our review.

Stay Away!!! This company is terrible. They just take your money and then do as little as possible to complete the job. Andrew Daigle is awful. He never returns phone calls and doesn't follow through with what he promised you.
The company isn't any better. You can never get an answer and as soon as they have your money, they could care less about you. We've had nothing but headaches dealing with this company and am still waiting for work to be completed.

Someone named Jon from this company came to my mothers house (which was unoccupied at the time) and told me I needed a new roof. They promised me that they'd get it done for me for free because of some government program that pays for houses that have high wind damage. Well, we hadn't had any bad storms in quite a while, and something for nothing ALWAYS sets off the red flags with me. I politely told him I'd think about it, and then never got back to him. Jon was a neighbor, so it was inevitable that I'd run into him again when I was taking care of the house, and I eventually did. Each time he pressured me to hire this company and get my "free roof." He always acted surprised that I wouldn't want to jump on this great deal, but the more he pressured me, the more I decided against it. This guy was either the philanthropist of the century or a total scam artist, and I don't believe in Santa Claus. So I kept putting him off, never giving him a flat out no, but never implying that I was interested either. Then one day, after a week of totally beautiful weather, (no rain, no storms, no high winds, nothing) I came to the house and found a whole bunch of shingles all over my property. They had clearly been pulled off of the roof! They even tore some off of the garage roof. Strangely enough, none of the neighboring houses seem to have been damaged by this mysterious storm that only affected one house on the whole block. I guess it was an easy target, since no one was living there to notice people climbing on the rooftop at night.
That tells you all you need to know about this company. They are criminals, willing to resort to vandalism to scare up business. Stay away from them, and if you have an uninhabited house that they are interested in, immediately install security cameras.

I was weary of using this company when I read the Online reviews. But the sales person I meet seemed very honest and helpful and answered all of the questions I have. Not to mention that I know insurance companies make everything a huge pain in the $@&. So I went with them based on the size of the company and time they have been doing this.
Boy was I happy I did, my house looks better then ever, they didn't let the insurance company push me or them around and now they have done tons of people on my block and it hasn't looked better in years.
I have and will continue to refer them to anyone that needs help.

I was weary to use his company due to all of the bad reviews, but the sales rep I had Andrew Daigle seemed very professionable and knowledgeable. They are had been in buisnees and done a lot of work so I went with them, the insurance company tried to deny me the first time But Andrew was sure they made a mistake so the came back out, andI got approved. The work was great and I could conut on Andrew. I wiould suggest them to anyone. I am ony writing this becuase 90% of the people that go on the internet have nothing good to say and that is obveouse here.

PLEASE READ AND THE RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM DECEITFUL AND UNETHICAL COMPANY.

If you are short on time just review the bullet points at the bottom.ADHI (American Dream & Home Improvement) provided us with a quote to replace our roof, which was damaged in a storm. This quote also included replacing some siding. Upon completion of the roof I repeatedly tried contacted Mike Pohrte to ask why the siding was NOT completed. When I finally was able to speak to him about 10 weeks later he assured me he would get out to finish the job. They were just really busy. He was finally straight forth with me and told me they would not be finishing the job. I contacted the home office to let them know the work was incomplete only to be told that they don’t do jobs that small. Well guess what, no one wants a small job, so then we were stuck trying to finding a provider to repair our small job. The whole reason we chose ADHI was because we were able to have ALL the work completed together. Our estimate clearly stated that ADHI would work with our insurance company; we carry additional insurance to have our damage covered at actual cost, to collect the remainder of the payment due. Also I repeatedly contact Mike Pohrte to be assured that the only out of pocket cost to us would be the $1000 deductible. ADHI never submitted the bill to the insurance company. I called to tell ADHI our insurance was going to drop us unless I provided proof of the work being completed. The woman from the home office told me to submit the bill to the insurance, which I did but covering the owed amount, I am not helping ADHI collect payment. I also let my insurance company that the job was incomplete. Today 5 months later we received a certified letter threatening legal action and possible lien against our home. The letter also states they tried to reach us on several occasions, which is completely false. They just head straight to bully tactics. ADHI:Never completed the job.Never submitted the final bill to insurance. Never tried to contact us for payment. The Consumer Rights Acknowledgement form clearly states: 9. Do not sign certificate of completion or final payment until the work is done to your satisfaction. I will pursue this matter with the Attorney General.

Poorly paid employees, high turnover , many transient subcontractors doing the actual work, all brought to you with a shiny truck and a kid in uniform who knows very little about roofs and his company, READ the flimsy warranty before you sign and YOU will know faster than most.

American Dream Home Improvement put a new roof on my parents house over the 4th of July weekend. The crew worked even on FRIDAY the 4th. They had a situation where they ran out of ridge cap shingles on Sat. and couldn't get the job done till Monday due to the roofing supply store being closed. However the job is done now and it is AMAZING! The funny thing is, my parents couldn't get this roof approved two years ago but ADHI got it approved and they did a great job on it! I wish I could post a pic.

DO NOT USE THEM! The sales reps got my roof and gutter replacement approved by our insurance company. After that they were completely rude, unreliable, disrespectful and lacked communication skills. There was no follow up expect numerous attempts to collect payment for a job poorly done. After contacting numerous ADHI employees regarding poor work our sales rep said the replacement cost will have to be an out of pocket expense. In the end, their final invoice well exceeded their initial estimate. Go with someone else!

STAY AWAY!! This company uses fast talking low life people to sell their product. They say that their product has a lifetime warranty on the roof as well as their workmanship. Neither are true! They will try to make you sign your claim away don't listen to them! They came in to my house with muddy shoes and ruined my carpet, they had me sign their paper saying that they would be there to represent me when my claims adjuster was there under false pretenses. I was told that 1 in 10 people who went to their insurance co by them selves got their roof bought and that with them 8 in 10 got a new roof. This is also false. ADHI was never there to help me with my insurance and I got a new roof the same is true for both of my neighbors. ADHI also says that their warranty is one time transferable, and it isn't. If you call Owens Corning who they say backs their warranty they will tell you that the warranty is not transferable. Against my better judgement I went with ADHI, and since then my roof has leaked twice and have tried to bill me for more than what my insurance is paying, even though their agreement says that my only out of pocket expense is my deductible. They also "pride" themselves one being an all W-2 company, which I also dug into. They say that their crews are all employiees and that they all have workmans comp. All of their crews are sub contracted which means they are all 1099 and none of them have workman's comp and if they get hurt on your properity your on the hook for their med bills. Plus all their crews are border hopping illegals that don't speak english at all. The crews pissed all over my rose and raspberry bushes making them so we couldn't eat them or use the roses. They left nails everywhere so I got two flat tires, when I called and asked to have them paid for I was told that it wasn't their problem. All in all these guys lie and have their salesmen lie to steal your claim and scam the insurance. Use ANYONE else but ADHI!!

This company did a great job on our property! I think it s all about who you get as a field supervisor, because the guy we got was fantastic! His name is Jeremy Buchmeier and his planning helped us to keep our out of pocket insurance cost low. As usual, mistakes will happen on big projects like roofing & siding, but Jeremy was always there to make sure they were corrected. If you use this company, ASK for this guy! He did a great job and exceeded our expectations!

Neighbors 2 houses down hired ...

WOW! ADHI management stepped up! Neighbors 2 houses down hired them to tear off and re-roof. Their delivery truck damaged our lawn and our neighbors. When my wife went to write down the company info, a guy on the crew told her - What do you care, it's not your lawn! Then the poor clean up caused me to get a flat tire from an old roofing nail pulling out of my garage the next day plus found another nail laying there. Even though it was an accident Jason and management took responsibility for the nail and are sending me $200 and promised to send a landscaper to fix the lawns. Very admirable for mgmt to step up for one or two bad crew eggs.

I gave these guys a call after one of my neighbors had work done on his house down the block. American Dream Home Improvement made the whole process quick and painless. I didn't have to call my insurance or find a contractor. Overall they did a great job.

A few months back a salesman from American Dream Home Improvement came through my neighborhood. The young man had a contractor come out to fix my roof promptly. After a few scheduling conflicts, my roof was replaced and looks wonderful. I will definitely call them again if I have anymore damage in the future.

Stay away from this company like the plague. They are storm chasers that do poor quality work. They talk fast and have you sign a "locked estimate" good for six months just incase the cost of material goes up. Its a contract of sorts but my laywers are tearing it apart. Call your ins.co. and inquire about this company. They are being investigated on the state and federal level. And btw the other review that uses sales persons names is something their PR dept does to gain business. Dont rely on the BBB either, To get a good rating all you have to do is pay more money. its pretty much a scam too and is NOT a gov. agency like they want you to believe.
