Academy of Dover Charter School

This school is the worst in Delaware. Don't pay any attention to their superior rating they finally achieved from the government. It's all a big show. Smoke and mirrors to keep a high rating. The teachers are rude and subpar. They don't engage with parents and never return calls or emails. The Administration is unprofessional and inconsiderate to parents. They act like don't care about educating just keeping appearances up. If a parent is critical of the school they encourage you to find a new school instead making the school better for their students. I sent my kid there and had so many problems. DO NOT send your child to this school if you want excellence. If you're okay with average or below then this is the place for you... Campus Community is much better.

There are many reasons why this school has the lowest rating. It starts with the lack of leadership of the Board of Directors and Principal. The staff is constantly looking for other work which provides an unstable environment for learning. There are some quality people on the staff but they're in the minority. You'd be doing your child a disservice if you send them there.
