TechBoston Academy, also known as TBA, is a college preparatory school that serves more than 280 students in grades 9 through 12. The full-time secondary school conducts educational classes in foreign languages, history, science, music, art and physical education. Its curriculum also includes technology study, French, Spanish, reading, writing and social studies. The TechBoston Academy has a laboratory that is equipped with laptops, hand-held devices, graphing calculators and smart boards. Its learning center offers supplementary instruction in research skills, English and mathematics, as well as conducts curriculum-related projects. The school organizes various sports activities, such as football, basketball, volleyball, cheerleading and baseball. Located in Dorchester, Mass., the TechBoston Academy is a part of Boston Public Schools, which governs several educational institutions.
