Developmental Services of Dickson County, located in Dickson, Tenn., is a community-based organization supporting individuals with mental disorders and other disabilities and their families in Cheatham County in Tenessee and Houston. The agency supports people through a number of work teams located throughout the three county areas. It assists people in finding a job that match their skills and aptitudes, and teaches people the skills needed to live in their homes and communities. It also provides a number of residential support options, including supported living, group homes, family-based residential services and respite services. The agency offers additional services for infants and toddlers under age 3 and their families. Its services are available for children who show a disability or delay in speech, motor, cognitive, social or other learning skills.
