Alan Belcher MMA Club

My son had his birthday at the D'Iberville location yesterday, and EVERYONE who attended (parents and kids) could not stop talking about how amazing the party was. I even had three of the parents texting for details that night asking how they could go about booking for their child's upcoming birthdays. The party was hosted/instructed by Alex, and he was absolutely AMAZING with the kids. His ability to entertain and his willingness to participate and interact with the kids truly made the party that much better. My youngest son did not want to leave the gym when the party was over. When I asked my son (the birthday boy) how his birthday was at the end of the night, he said, "Mom, I was waiting for my birthday all year, and that was the BEST...I want to have it there again next year!" I had no idea what to expect in regards to how the party would go, considering we have never attended a party there before, but I cannot emphasize how happy I am that I went through with it. You do not think of birthday parties when it comes to an MMA club, but I can assure you that they have an AWESOME birthday party package set up. We will be doing this again, for sure!

I posted a negative review of this location recently but the company contacted me and were nice enough to make it right. For their willingness to work with me, I highly recommend them.

I could spend several paragraphs writing about the world class level of instruction provided by professional fighters in a variety of classes: MMA, jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, wrestling, judo, etc. But that’s not really the most important part of my experience at ABMMA.

After quite a bit of training, I decided to take my first fight. I was understandably nervous. I thought I was ready, my coaches said I was ready, but it’s still a scary thought to go put everything on the line, in a cage, in front of a crowd of strangers. But, I’d made up my mind to test myself, so away we went. The most important thing about ABMMA to me is the team environment. The night before the fight, we all went to Outback for a pre-fight meal. I haven’t ever felt like such a part of a team, basically an extended family, in my life. And that’s after years and years of countless team sports. There must have been thirty of us there, laughing at each other’s stories about previous fights or weight cutting horrors and wolfing down everything in sight since we’d all just made weight earlier that day. Everyone seemed to care just as much about their teammates fights as they did their own, if not more so. The next day as I got my hands taped and eventually made my way to the cage, I was still getting advice from my teammates about what to do, how to handle the nerves. As I walked out to the cage, I was completely confident that I was ready, simply because I knew that I had trained with the best and that they believed in me.

The confidence (along with all the hard work and great coaching) paid off. I won in the first round by arm bar. MMA may be an individual sport, but good luck getting better all by yourself. In some ways it’s the ultimate team sport, because you absolutely have to have great training partners and coaches in order to improve your skills in such a wide variety of disciplines. At ABMMA, we have all of that. And we also have a team environment where everyone looks out for each other’s well being.

This place blew my mind the first time I went in. I trained in Florida near daytona in BJJ and MMA before, and even traveled to Miami to do a little competition and train at some bigger nicer gyms, but this is the nicest one of ever seen, and everyone here treats you like family. I live in Pascagoula now and this place is unreal. Much more than just a team for me. I only wish I could train more and stay here all day. Everyone was very welcoming and I was especially nervous because I wasn't very experienced and so many people here are so good. Everyone has been really helpful though and I think it's probably the best place for beginners I've ever seen even though they have guys fighting in the UFC and Strikeforce and they train the military and police. score is 6 stars!

Been training here a couple months now, and love it. I came to the area from the west coast, and was really surprised to hear Alan Belcher had a school here. I have always been a big fan of Belcher, and now training at his school is like a dream come true. Had an awesome time meeting the brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion that teaches there too, Daniel Moraes. That guy is awesome. Everyone here has been really cool and encouraging. Joing Alan Belcher MMA Club is the best choice I ever made, I hope they build another one closer to me in east ocean springs- it's worth the drive though.

This gym is AMAZING!!! I have 4 children that attend ABMMA Club. There has been a HUGE improvement in their attitude and academics since they joined! Their kids' instructors are amazing instructors and GREAT role models!!! From the minute you walk in the door everyone knows everyone else and welcomes them by name!! This gym has become part of our family!! Everyone there is wonderful and it is definately the ONLY place to train!!

AMAZING GYM! Alan Belcher MMA Club is the place to train!! We love all of our instructors!! Its like one big happy family!!! This is where YOU need to go to TRAIN!

I LOVE THIS GYM!! This is the best place ever!!! The kids program is also awesome!! I love Ms Annie, Mr Mike, Master Belcher, Mr South, and all the other kids instructors!! Our Chaos Kids competition team has been all over the south doing competitions and we have been winning! If you want to train this is definately the place to go!

This gym ROCKS!!! Master Belcher is an amazing UFC fighter with a GREAT gym!! All of the instructors rock also!! This is the place to train!!

This is the best place I've ever been too, and I've already put up quite a few reviews here for good places, and have traveled around the country and trained in a lot of awesome gyms over the years I've been involved with MMA. I sincerely believe that in a few years Alan Belcher MMA Club will be a gym name people hear about nationwide. The people here are great, the training is awesome, and Alan is really invested in the school always making improvements, and adding new features!



With that said Alan is like top 4 in the UFC, and others here fight for strikeforce, and bellator. He sends kids and adults to compete in large grappling tournaments around the country and is having a ton of success also. There's 9 years olds here that have won championships in 6 different states! I wish I had a place like this back then...

Alan Belcher is one of the toughest fighter's on the planet, but still managed to build an amazing club that is great for the whole family to train together and get in shape, and even become champion athletes.
