Our director’s philosophy is based on the belief that all children are unique; and that they develop at their own pace. We believe children learn and grow through play along with positive experiences provided to them by qualified staff. Home Away from Home Childcare staff are nurturing individuals who will provide your children with a warm, loving, and comfortable environment. We will encourage each child to develop individual readiness in areas such as cognitive, social, physical, and language. We will help each child to create a positive and confident self-image. We will offer experiences in: Manipulative Play * Imaginative Dramatic Play * as well as reading, singing dancing and math. * Manipulative play refers to activities where children move, order, turn or work with items to make them fit. It allows children to take control of their world by mastering the objects they use. Manipulative play can be a cooperative activity while the children are within a group or a singular activity during individual play. * Imaginative Dramatic Play defines play in its position statement as a “dynamic, active and constructive behavior” that is “essential for all children.” Fun matters. It’s what gets children engaged, curious, and coming back for more

Our students include: * Infant * Toddler * Preschool * After School * Before and after kindergarten * School age 5-10 1/2 years Our program is designed to meet the needs of both our children and their families. We offer a safe learning environment where your children feels comfortable and secure. We hope to provide you with a rich program of activities which meet the needs of your children as well as provide quality services for the parents in our community. Each group will have primary caregivers. We accept children ages 6 weeks through 9.5 years. . Our programs offer flexibility for either full or part-time care. We offer infant, toddler, pre-school and pre-k childcare.
