Des Moines Parks & Recreation Department is a part of the city of Des Moines, Iowa and offers a range of recreation programs. The department has an 18-hole and 9-hole golf courses and it hosts golf tournament for residents. It manages more than 30 parks and rents park facility for business meetings, parties, weddings and other types of gatherings. The department arranges summer programs for high school students that include gymnastics, tennis, and exercise and fitness classes. It also arranges softball, football, volleyball, basketball and tennis leagues for youth. Des Moines Parks & Recreation Department also has an aquatic center and provides private lesson for family and children.
