I have keratoconus in both eyes, my left eye hasnt progressed as bad as my right eye to where my vision had degraded to 20/70.. If you don't know Keratoconus is a progressive eye disease in which the normally round cornea thins and begins to bulge into a cone-like shape. This cone shape deflects light as it enters the eye on its way to the light-sensitive retina, causing distorted vision. Witch isn't correctable with glasses or soft contacts, and the hard lense contacts were so uncomfortable that I decided that if there was another option, that I had to try. I did research and realized there are vary few choices to help, the one that stuck out was the intacs percedure. However some of the stories I had read about made it sound vary risky.. but after some time thinking about it, if there was a chance to improve my vision I couldn't just pass it up.. I did more research, this time on the best track record for the intacs percedure and found Cherry Creek Eye Surgery Center. So I set up an appointment with Dr. Lewis to find out if intacs would help my situation.
I found out I was a good candidate for the percedure, and got the pre-op, operation, and post-op appointments set up.
I walked in with 20/70 vision in my right eye. I'm walking out with vision between 20/20 and 20-25. So long story short, if you have keratoconus and are thinking about intacs, make an appointment with Dr. Lewis.

Dr. Lewis did my LASIK surgery, and my results were perfect. I am so happy with the outcome.



His staff was extremely professional and helpful. I have moved my whole family over to his practice.
