General Info
An award-winning graphic designer, illustrator, and photographer, Kenny is emerging as a strong voice in the visual communications industry. A 2006 graduate of Marietta College with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design, Kenny was Editor-in-Chief of the institution's yearbook, overseeing the design and completion of the 2005 and 2006 publications. In addition to his scholastic achievements, Kenny exemplified the school's commitment to civic engagement through his work with local non-profit organizations and community development projects. Working with the Hippodrome/Colony Historical Theatre Association (HCHTA), he redesigned their corporate identity and developed a distinctive brand through promotional posters, billboards, and merchandise. In 2006, Kenny worked with local art gallery owner and print publisher, Glenn Newman, to produce a limited edition numbered print of his illustration, Opening Night at the Hippodrome. A portion of the sale of this print went to support the restoration project. His detailed, whimsical illustration style earned him an First Place in the Art and Illustration category from the 2006 Society for News Design Contest, juried by The National Post in Toronto. Kenny also interned with Ogden Newspapers Incorporated where he worked on the company's alternative newspaper, Graffiti. His cover designs and feature layouts garnered the West Virginia newspaper national attention and numerous industry awards.
