Familia Dental

I went in to have all my teeth pulled, which was eleven, in October, 2022 for consult, x-rays, and spoke with the dentist Dr. Gauba. I was then schedueled for my 11 teeth to be extracted on December 14th, 2022. I went, had all teeth pulled, and was scedueled to come back in February. When that date came, I was sick with the flu, and did not want to get anyone sick, so I reschedued my appointment for MAY!! I went back and got my FIRST impressions done, and then schedueled for my SECOND impressions for May 22, or 23. I went in and waited for a damn hour to see the doctor. When he finally came in, I told him, that our medicAID might be up by July, since that is the next application. I asked doctor Gauba when would all of this be done, for me to get dentures, and he told me it could be the end of JULY!
A wooman, came up from the background, and started telling me, the same thing Dr. Gauba had said, but she was very rude about it. I turned in the chair, and told her, "Let me tell you something!" She immediately acted like a victim because I was going to let her know, that nobody was going to be condescending and abusive to me. Dr. Gauba then told me that I could go elsewhere if I chose, and that's when I got up and said, yes I will go elsewhere! I am a 67 year old man, and native to Decatur, and I have NEVER been treated so badly, anyhwere or anytime by anyone, like I was there! October to May and STILL had no dentures. I decided to go elsewhere for dentures, and would not need any x-rays, they would do the impressions and I would have my teeth the same day!
There is ONE dentist at the Famila Decatur, IL facility, and that's not MY FAULT! It's ridiculous how long it takes to get dentures there. I know a LOT OF PEOPLE in Decatur, and I intend of telling anyone and everyone that I know about the expierence! It's ridiculous. Do as you may about this, but I will turn away as many people as I can, so that they don't receive the same treatment that I did!!

As always, the girls took great care of me.
I am looking forward to getting my smile back after my next appointment in November.
I wish I wouldn't have waited 39 years before going to the dentist.

I have never had a bad visit, all the employees are very friendly and they seem to care and do whatever to make your visit comfortable..

I had the pleasure of having Dr. K and Stephanie and they were AMAZING! I have anxiety and they were so kind and gentle and reassured me. I had to have a few fillings done and it was the best dentist experience I've ever had. They also have great personalities

Going in for the 3rd time to fix the same filling , been in pain for 1 month, go to real dentist,place is a joke , won't go back

Absolutely the worst place ever!!! Went for a cleaning and they just brushed my teeth I can do that at home. The dentist was very rude to my 6 year old son! Very unorganized I don't even think the dental assistances are even certified.This place should be shut down!

Unreal...I will ne suing..stay away...

I took my daughter there for a consultation for braces. The staff was friendly, however the dentist had absolutely no bedside manner. He came in and said, "hi", and went straight to my daughters mouth, Before xrays came back he told me his plan. When i asked a question, he huffed and puffed. I will not be taking my daughter here, regardless of the cost.

I recently visited Familia Dental on rhe 29th of April the staff was great and very professional. The dentist was great and gained the confidence of my child who doesn't like Dr. I would recommend them to any of my friends or family.

I brought my children into this office on Saturday and the dentist and the staff was great! I would recommend them to family and friends.

I was very impressed to see how together the staff was, very organized and professional. All my questionsand concerns were addressed and i was in and out with out any problems..

needed to see a dentist asap every place i called couldn't get me in right away and i was in alot of pain Familia dental had me in the same Day and i got a follow up call to check how i was doing. Very happy

After teasing the past i was very skeptical about keeping my shopping for my 7 year old son & myself but once i walked into Familia dental i was surprised that everyone there seemed to go out of their way to make each person feel welcome & comfortable. There was even a patient that was upset & ended up walking out laughing & no longer upset got the small mistake on his bill.. My son has never enjoyed the dentist but couldn't wait to go back. Very friendly, hard working & great environment for children
