Established in 1892, Central Baptist Church of Decatur is located in Decatur, Ala. It offers various ministries, including the central journey, educational, library, music, preschool, children, recreation, senior adults, youth, television and radio, deacons, God Rewards Our Work, die-cut, and women s ministries. The church library was opened in 1946, has more than 15,000 volumes available, and also offers videos, children s literature and large print materials. Modern facilities were installed in 1969 for the television ministry that reaches the entire Tennessee Valley. The church also has choirs for children in grades kindergarten through five. It also has a youth praise band that leads in praise and worship times during the Wednesday youth service, as well as leading in worship on Sundays. Its also offers adult choir, senior adult ukulele, and special events choirs.
