Overall

Very disappointed in what use to be one of our favorite places to eat when we visit Damariscotta every summer for the past 25 years.

I have spent the last 15 years working in the food service and hospitality business in New York & San Francisco.

We sat down as a party of 10 upstairs we all ordered a round of drinks. Two of use were unhappy with how our margaritas tasted I expressed that to one of the women that was working upstairs and she said she would send our server over. Our server returned and said that sense it was a top shelf poor and that it was made with fresh muddled fruit that they couldnt "comp" or exchange the drink and that they would still have to charge us for it. This is where things started to go wrong in a serious way.

A little annoyed being a server myself that i was poored for lack of a better phrase a top shelf glass of crap and was told drink it or not your still paying for it.

The part that really grinds my gears is that the women i told about the drinks was actually there front of the house manager and didnt even lets us know that was her position . So i actually told the manger there was a problem and the manager sent the server back to the table which make zero sense what so ever.

So at this point i let it go and said thats ok were just not going to order anymore drinks and we will just order dinner.

Of the 10 entrees ordered muscles were server luke warm, one medium rare tuna was well done, the Brussel sprouts were severely under cooked. A sandwich was supposed to have bacon and charmelized onions on it but didnt come out with any but the upcharge managed to find its way onto the check.

Again this use to be one of our favorite spots to visit but from now on ill pass.
