Brookdale Lake Highlands

This group of people are liars and thieves. I'm a contractor hired to provide services to the residents. Services were provided with no complaint or problems. All the employees were nice and friendly but when it came time to pay the invoices submitted as part of the agreement, it became impossible to get anyone to answer the phone. When we could get routed to someone, It was as if the receptionist had been given a list of people that were owed money and they would be misrouted or the call would be dropped. How anyone would place their loved one's in the hands of these scam artisits is beyond me. If they will not pay their vendors and contrctors, how long and well can they be taking care of your family? They will not be able to do so as word is getting around town and people are refusing to work there as they know they will not be paid.

This was a difficult decsion for me and my family and the staff have helped us every step of the way especially in transitioning my mother. I appreciate Lake Highlands very much!

My mother has lived here for two years and we have been very pleased with the apartment, the cleanliness and especially the staff.

I was very misled on a number of issues when moving my parent into this facility. The people there are extremely nice people, but they are SO understaffed, it is impossible for them to do their jobs properly, or to get information from one party to the other there, or to even get their stories straight! They only have 3 actual caregivers during the day to care for at least 85 residents, & only TWO at night. They lied to me about this up front. They did NOT tell me about the "move-in fee" up front, & with all I'm documenting, will probably report them to the BBB also. A pretty face & sweet demeanor mean nothing when looking for an Assisted Living place - DO YOUR HOMEWORK people. RESEARCH it - The people in Assisted Living management in general, do NOT volunteer information, & sometimes outright lie to get you in the door, knowing it is very difficult to get out once you are in.
