Richard J. McLoy, MS, CCC-SLP: Richard is one of the owners of Welch & McLoy Therapy Services. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and in 1991 he graduated from the University of South Florida with a Master of Sciences degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Richard concentrates his practice in pediatrics. He has worked in a variety of settings including early childhood centers, schools, outpatient clinics, hospitals and nursing homes. He has been an adjunct instructor at the University of South Florida in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. He has attended advanced conferences in oral motor disorders. Richard remains current with trends and changes in his field by attending conferences on a regular basis.

Christine Cruz-Cooper is the third partner of our practice. She graduated from the University of California in 1969 with a degree in Physical Therapy. She has over 35 years experience working with children. Chris has worked in clinical settings as well as the school systems. Chris worked for more than 10 years for the Pasco County Schools before joining Welch & McLoy as a partner. In 1993, she completed the Training of Occupational and Physical Therapist in Early Intervention (TOPSEI) through the graduate school at the University of Florida. She continues to attend seminars and conferences to stay current with trends in physical therapy with children.
Occupational Therapy
Welch & McLoy Therapy Services, PA was started in 1992 by Margaret A. McLoy, OTR/L for the purpose of providing occupational therapy services to children and developmentally delayed adults in the New Port Richey area. The company has grown steadily since its inception by providing high quality of care and practice in a family run practice. In 1993 Margaret was joined in this pediatric practice by Richard J. McLoy, M.S., CCC-SLP/L to provide speech-language services and in 1994 by Christine Cruz-Cooper, RPT/L to provide physical therapy services. The three partners have worked together to provide multi-disciplinary, child centered therapy.
