HORRIBLY EXPENSIVE!!!!!FRAUDULENT EXORBITANT BILLING!! I live in Arkansas and was visiting family in Houston. My son started to complain about sharp pain on his lower right side of his stomach. We worry about appendicitis and that he might need the appendix removed. After some testing, it was determined he was constipated. I got a bill for the ER visit for $14,000!

I don't recommend this hospital to anyone!! I was hospitalized here in 2013 for over 2 weeks and was abused and mistreated by 2 female nurses while in ICU. I reported the 2 incidents to North Cypress Guest Relations and they claim that they "handled" the situation. When I ask for a clearer more understanding they(John Packard) refuse to give me anymore information. I am fearful that these women are still abusing and mistreating patients while they are at a vegetable state. I witness them mistreat other patients in ICU that are now deceased. North Cypress does not care about their patients rights. They care about money and do not screen their nurses properly. Pay attention to how the North Cypress Medical Center facebook page does not offer a review section. More than likely because they know they will receive bad reviews.

Stay Far away! These people look you in the eye and lie to your face to get you to use their facilities! I was told their lab on the 3rd floor office building was in network with my insurance company and was exactly the same as if I would use Quest Diagnostics, where I normally go for blood work. This was an outright lie, their lab is an outpatient services lab whereas Quest is an Independent lab. Now I have a bill for $230 for blood work that would have cost me $0 if I used Quest. Insurance charges a deductible for outpatient labs. If they would have been honest with me, I would not have used their overpriced facility and went to Quest as usual. I even contacted the CEO, Dr. Robert Behar, and he was absolutely no help. Passed me on to someone else who wrote me a letter basically saying we aren't responsible for how your insurance company pays our hospital. Then train your staff not to lie and deceive the patients in order to trick them to use your facility. These people only care about money and not the patients!! I have stopped going to any Doctor at this facility, even leaving my family physician of 15 years. I will never give this facility one more penny of my hard earned money. I would rather die in the street than ever step foot at this facility again! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

The worst care of any Hospital...

The worst care of any Hospital I have ever been to. Foul ups on medications nearly cost me my life. Nurses saying thery gave medications when they did not. They took my partial and lost it! Hateful patient advocate-smirking nurses and rude doctors.

I took my husband to the ER on...

I took my husband to the ER on August 30,2012 @8pm because he had 106 fewer. he was in a critical condition they had to immeadiately send him to ICU for a few days for recovery but the next morning August 31 We received a visit from the financial dept-PAM KUR . she wanted me to give her $5,000 upfront . i told her we did not have any money she told me if I did not have money for the hospital than why did I take him there that i should have taken him to bentaub. so i told her he would not had made it if I did. she reply back well that's your problem.next time save money for this types of emergencies .then she ask me to take him out of ICU and take him to bentaub.BASICALLY SHE WAS KICKING US OUT! she said that they will no longer treat him if i didn't pay. I spoke to the Nurse and doctor about it the doctors said that "he CANNOT LEAVE the hospital" she then threathing us and continue to harrased us for money. she told me she would call immigration if I didn't pay her the $5,000 LOl well we are not immigrants OK! My husband ended up in the hospital for 8 days dueto his condition.but every day she would harrased us for money. I did reported her to her boss but as of today I haven't received a call but yet they are sending me court papers to pay when it has only been a week of his discharged.total bill was $55,000 after I told them I would make payments arrangements.anyways try to avoid going there they will charged you even the toilet paper! BE AWARE OF PAM KUR SHE IS RUDE,DISRESPECTFUL,MEAN ,AND UGLY!!!!

AVOID THIS PLACE UNLESS YOUR LIFE IS LITERALLY AT STAKE! While the people are proficient and reasonably polite, their business model seems to be to charge as much money as they can legally get away with to people who are unable to think clearly, because they are SICK! I told them when I arrived that I had an HSA and I would have to pay for this out of pocket, and that I just needed to make sure it was only the flu. The flu of course is a virus and there is no treatment. When it was all over they charged me $2300 for an Advil. The doctor listened to my heart and lungs with a stethoscope and declared they were fine, then sent me in for an x-ray, and I quote, "just in case". Just in case what? You don't have enough for your boat payment?! When you go to a medical facility you need to be able to trust the people and not to have to watch them like hawk. If you need an arm reattached or you're almost dead, you can stop here, but for anything less I'd skip the place.

If you got a fraudlent bill from North Cypress Medical Center, please complain to the Texas Attorney General. They will get involved when they know HOW MANY OF US THERE ARE! I reccommend you DON'T come here if you value your health & your wallet. When my mother was admitted through the ER -- she did not get her medicine or get seen by a hospitalist until I tried to dress her and walk her out against medical orders - 23 hours after she went in (and the ER was not busy at the time)....They could have explained the timeframes but instead they chose to repeatedly lie (doctor's on the way, doctor's on the way....). THEN they try to bill her directly even though she is Medicare and MEDICAID (fully dual eligible) and its against the law to bill these patients for emergency services. She's been hospitialized dozens of times at other hospitals and there is NEVER a bill. Of course, they assume she is elderly and she won't know better. Despite her calling and informing them to bill Medicare and Medicaid, they continue to harass her threatning collections and to hurt her credit. Neglect and now extortion? Boy did they pick the wrong person's mother to mess with - I work in the healthcare compliance industry and I am taking note of every regulatory violation!



Note: Even people who rate the hosptial high note the horrible billing office. And many of them posted reviews before they got their suprise bill....

Will NEVER come here again!

This was the worst experience ever. I was sent for a stat ct for a head injury and it took 2 hours to even get me back into the room. AWFUL!

ER Staff are uncaring and insensitive

I thought maybe I was the problem but after reading that others have experienced the same lack of care and concern, I realize the hospital is just a bad place to go if you have a medical emergency.

I told them I was assaulted but did they bring anyone in to talk to me? NO

Did they take pictures? NO



The x-ray tech became agitated because I was unable to turn my hand and hold my arm in a specific position. Instead of finding a way to obtain a x-ray, she said these won't turn out very well but you won't hold your arm straight.

Stupid woman!

My son was enraged and we left without signing anything.



There is no privacy because curtains surround each patient. Staff walk around talking nonsense while people are lying in front of them in excruciating pain. They do not care at all!



I went to Methodist, obtained the x-rays without incident, and now knowing that my wrist and shoulder were sprained, should there be any question about whether I was in pain?



They made me feel worse than when I arrived.
