Our goal is to be the premier provider of quality communication, security and public safety solutions to the north Alabama area through our sales and service, while upholding the highest quality work and fair, ethical business practices. In 1979, Tom Sharp, Jr. purchased a small established radio repair shop, and, along with one employee, began his own company. Today Sharp Communication operates out of 9600 square foot facilities at 3403 Governors Drive in Huntsville, Alabama, with an average of 35 fulltime employees. The company also operates a facility in Cullman, Alabama, due to the large customer base in that area. Sharp Communication, locally owned and operated since 1979, places a major emphasis on customer service, and a firm belief that employees are the backbone of any successful company. With an extremely low turnover rate, most of our employees are long term, and have been instrumental in growing the business and keeping the customer first. We underwent an extreme remodeling and upgrade of our facilities in 2009 to better serve our customers. Our sales staff has many years of combined experience and knowledge in the area they serve, and can consult with our customers to help determine the most cost-effective and efficient product and service needs. Our communications staff has undergone extensive Motorola product training. and have earned certification as Radio Communication Representatives, and some have achieved Professional certification. Sharp Communication is a certified service center. Our technicians are factory trained on many of our products, and participate in ongoing training. Our communications technicians are ETA Certified Electronics Technicians, and some have achieved Senior status. We service what we sell. Certified Service Center The CSC program is designed as a tool to help consumers find quality service centers, to help electronics manufacturers ( such as Motorola ) to select service centers for in-warranty repairs, and to provide a standard for professional service firms that desire to offer outstanding high quality customer service. An ETA certification signifies that the holder has demonstrated professional proficiency and has the technical knowledge and skill to meet international electronics industry standards. ETA certification programs are non-discriminatory and objective, setting ETA apart from other manufacturer and product-related certifications Motorola Premier Service Partner PSP is the highest level of service relationship, representing the greatest level of Motorola/Servicer agreement and interdependence. Motorola Servicers who attain this level have demonstrated consistent capabilities in performance, personnel and commitment to Motorola products and services. Code of Alabama, Section 34-1A and the rules and regulations promulgated by AESBL, require the licensing of any person, sole proprietorship, company or corporation that provides sales, service, installation, maintenance or monitoring of burglar alarm systems, access control and closed circuit tv sytems locksmiths. Our security systems division personnel hold an individual AESBL license, and must partake in continuing education programs in order to be renewed annually.
