Very Very expensive

I purchased a serger about 6months ago and the girls there are very nice. The owners are a husband and wife. The husbvand does not fit in at all. I think he might fix the machines but he is far from friendly and makes me feel uncomfortabel. Anyhoo, after a month, the serger was not working properly. Of course it was my fault, I must have done something to it because the attitude of the husband and wife was that they are always right. They finally fixed it and I waited 2 months. I wish I had never bought anything there. I compared the prices on line and they are way over priced. They are a lot friendlier when you go into the store to buy something, but if there is a problem, it's your fault, not theirs. Poor customer service.

prices are too high

i brought my serger in for a cleaning and I was charged 89.00. The prices on the other machines were extremely high.
In fact everything that they sell in there for accessories is triple. Like the thread, The same as jo ann and they are 3 times higher. i would not recommend this place .

Only nice when you buy

Karen roy was so wonderful when my husband and I first purchased our embroidery machine. We knew it was overpriced but she offered us service by word that you can come in any time for classes. This is only true for the first year. After that, Karen Roy does will not give you the time of day. She makes excuses why her saleclerks cannot help you. Even if you are first in line, she says they are busy with buying customers. She tells you to come back next week.
She is arrogant and condesending to her customers. We spend over 3000.00 for our machine and this is the treatment that we get.
I saw her roll her eyes at other customers when they turned their back. That's a good way to lose your business. She may be condesending now but when people find out about her, they will never go back.
Also , don't have your machine cleaned there. Her husband and another guy who do not know what they are doing, really messed up my machine when I brought it for repair within a year. They charged 200.00 and did not fix the problem.
I brought it to another dealer in Brockton, mass. They were respectable to me and my husband.
Some people are not meant to deal with the public.

I can't understand the lousy revews that I just read. I have had nothing but great experiences with Blaines. I have bought atleast 4 machines. I have my own business and would not be as successful as I have been without their wonderful help . I have the 10 thread embroidery machine (Enterprise), several sergers, a smaller embroidery machine and several others. Karen may be busy at times but make an appointment for your lessons. Her husband is a great mechanic. I have nothing but praise for them and will be there Saturday to get another serger with this great sale going on now. I give them five stars.

Selection
Service

I've purchased 4 machines from Blaine's and I couldn't be happier. The length of time for service may be long but it's because they service all around the area and they are good. They stand behind their work. I won't ever take my machines anywhere else.

I agree 100% about the Karen Roy. I bought my Bernina and a surger from them. Karen was so nice to me on the day I made my purchase but when I went back to learn how to use the machine, not even a frendly "Hi "I got from Karen. She tottaly egnored me. Heather is a sweet heart and I like her alot. But I do not recomand this place at all :-((

I'm so glad I read the reviews...

I'm so glad I read the reviews before I took my 51 year old sewing machine to this place. It has never ever been out for repair in all of the 51 years I've owned it but I did something to it when fixing jeans and now the timing is off. Whew - Thanks for the heads up

good until your machine breaks down

They are very nice when they are selling you something but as soon as your machine needs repair, the customer service end there. It actually took 3 months to get my serger fixed. I really do not understand this. Why don't they hired or train technicians if they are short help.I know that there are people out there looking for jobs in R.I.

My friend purchased a machine somewhere else and got immediate service.
