        Founded in 1968, Vocational Development Center is a private nonprofit corporation. It provides vocational, residential and day services for persons with mental disorders, developmental disabilities and mental illness. It organizes employment training, community living skill programs and vocational training. Its vocational training programs offer basic education for adults, health and safety class and online computer laboratory. The organization offers adult transition programs for high school students with learning disabilities. Its supported employment program provides a full range of job placement, coaching and follow up services. In addition, the organization conducts art classes for adults and children. Vocational Development Center is located in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
