Gulfway Boot & Shoe Repair

I have taken several pair of shoes to this business and they've done a terrific job. Always very courteous and prompt with my repairs. Prices are reasonable for such quality work. Definitely recommend them.

Took 2 pair of shoes (one brown, one black) there to be repaired at the end of May. I was told the repair would be completed by June 15, after I told them I needed the black pair of shoes to go to a wedding on June 19. June 14 the girl calls and tells me the boss is running behind schedule, I should pick up the shoes on June 17. I figure, I pick them up on the way out of town on the 19th. Big mistake. I showed up, the shoes were not ready, he had not even started. ?!?! Luckily I had a back up pair, and I did not have to go to the wedding bare foot. ;-)

So today, August 5, I went and picked up my shoes which were ready for a week now. I am beyond words on what CRAPPY job they did fixing them, and when confronted why they used such a thin thread on my brown shoes, the girl says that the sewing machine only takes on size thread; I pointed out that the black shoes had thicker thread where they fixed it, no comeback on that one. So now I can HOPE that another shoe repair store can fix the damage they have done to my formerly beautiful and quite expensive shoes.... really wish I could attach a picture on this review!!! DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU LIKE YOUR SHOES!!!!
