I'm appalled at the nursing staff here. No one has come to advise us of the patient's diet, length of stay, etc... since she was brought to the hospital room. We've asked several times for assistance and have been given the brush off. I'm going to have to do some research to find out who an official complaint can be made to. While I understand that nurses are overworked, that's no excuse for poor patient care.
The rooms are dirty (to the point that you can't even see outside the windows are that dirty), the paint on the wall is chipped, and the squeeky bathroom door is pretty bad. In all honesty, the rooms are beyond outdated. There are also signs advising patients to remind the hospital staff to wash their hands before they administer any tests. Idk about you, but I don't think I should have to tell hospital staff to wash their hands. They should know that already.
I'm just saddened that we're forced to be here and I hope that future patients get better treatment.
PS: If you are the medical POA for your parent, do not let them make decisions without your consent.
If you can avoid this place, do so. Run far far away. :(

IF i could gives this hospital a negative 3 i world. the nurses need an attitude adjustment. My dad had a bad infection and he had to go into surgery which it took them 12 hours to get him into surgery and then after the surgery they was supposed to clean his wound every 2 hours and it was not done at all i did it which i did not mind cuz he my dad but that was not my job. And then his linens needed to be changed every time there was dirty and it wasn't done. the nurses Where very ruggish when taking care of my dad especially when they put the IV and his antibiotics to treat his open wound. they wouldn't check up on him they were very arrogant and some of them very unkind make you feel like you was stupid talked to you like you was an idiot which my dad is no idiot he's the smartest man I know. you could also tell that they were Very agitated and their mind was not all there fully into there job. there was like only I think like 5-7 patients I had to keep on reminding them about bringing my dad water and it took like hours and when he needed him medication it took even longer than it Should just an overall bad experience they were very unprofessional in areas that they should have tooken very serious. like for example there was a point that the restroom in the room that my dad was staying in the bathroom sink It was dripping and I got in the shower And the sinking backed up and Over flooded all the way into the room where my dad was and he had all sorts of machines plugged up around him thank the Lord I caught it in time cuz if not my dad could have got electrocuted and it took them like three hours to fully clean the water which don't take no more than 20 minutes max. don't get me wrong there was three good nurses that was really good and in the end my dad got so mad he Demanded his release papers and we left and now we are home at peace amen What ever u do don't go to this hospital unless you have a death wish

It's a scene out of Idiocracy. The business office has no idea how to deposit a payment yet threatens to send the account to collections. They are repeatedly given a CC account number linked to a Health Savings Account , and they don't know what to do. Maybe I should apologize for expecting them to show up for work.

I am beyond mad at the treatment of patients in the ER. The last time we came it was a 14 hour wait followed by a 6 day hospitalization. Today we have already been here for 8 hpurs and have not been seen, but an employee brought his ypung (3) daughter in for either ant bites or jellyfish stings and was in and out in less than an hour! First of all, why didnt the child go to Driscoll CHILDRENS hospital? Because dad works here and they got preferential treatment! Next, the batheoom has been disgusting for several hours now! Poop on the toilet seat, urine all over the other stall, no soap and toilet paper on the floor! The maintenance man went in for all of 5 min but still no soap and dirty seats! Next, aeriously, over 8 hour wait?!!! Hire more doctors!! There are people that have been here aince last night still waiting to be seen! Hire more doctoras!#

I took my son in for a nose bleed in 2004 and the doctors treated him like he was nothing..They did not even suction out his mouth when he was coughing out blood clots// I tried and then he did it his self while the nurse just stood there...the female dr said ohh he touched me in a vulgar way!!Oh my god what a witch she was..I told her my son always moves his hands when he is trying to say something. Then a male dr came in a big slob looking thing and said he needed blood and my son said give me my familys blood and the dr said no..we have to do it rt now.after they started the blood my son said his heart was hurting, over and over again!!! they acted like he was a big baby or something..I saw my son when they were moving him to icu and they would'nt let me or my other son in and called the supervisior and she said you can stay here,I will call sucurity and we asked if we could stay in the waiting room and she said noooo I am not openinbg a room up..your son is in icu but he is stable...my son took me home for a change of clothes and when we walked in the door the hosp was calling us to come rt back, they were doing cpr....from there it went dn hill...then they told us he was getting better ,we were so happy..then the big shock!!!my son was in a coma and bla bla my son did not make it...I would never go back to that place and will never send anyone to it..I still think they need to be sued!!!
