She is by far the best groomer around. Ive read all of the reviews on here and its pretty funny to me. Theres always 2 sides to every story. Being a groomer myself, it is unbelievable how twisted people can be and how much they lie. The second that you dont let them walk all over you, they turn on you and bash you anywhere they can. She is a show groomer and has an awesome personality. Give her a chance and you wont be disappointed.

This was the worst experience I have had at a grooming salon. They did not tell me that they closed early and then called me to tell me to come pick my dog up within an hour. My 2 year old daughter was napping and it was a 30 minute drive. After not informing me that they were closing early and giving me short notice, they wanted to charge me a fee for being late to which I said I wasn't going to pay because they had not informed me ahead of time. They said that I would not be welcome back. They were SO SO rude over the phone. Never ever again will I return here.

The person that waited on us was very rude and unfriendly... She insulted us and treated us like second class citizens.. I would never bring my dog to a place that treats humans that way.

When I first learned about Sophisticuts Dog Salon through a LivingSocial deal, I thought it would be great to find a nice place to take my parents’ dogs as a treat (I love finding new businesses that take pride in their work). Two options were offered in the deal: a bath or a full groom. Since I am perfectly capable of bathing the dogs on my own, I verified what was included with a bath by checking out the company website. The website stated (in their words): “Bathing includes: Ears cleaned, Nails trimmed, Hair under and around the feet trimmed, Bath, Dry, Sanitary clip, Face trim if needed, based on the dog breed”. At the bottom of the page it states that baths start at $25. All of this was perfectly in-line with the discount described on LivingSocial that claimed half-off a bath. It all seemed very straightforward, so I saw no need to confirm this same information via phone call. I went ahead with the purchase for two vouchers for my parents’ Westies. When my mom called the company to set up the appointments, the owner told her the voucher was good for ONLY a bath and would cost an extra $13 per dog for the extras mentioned above. This frustrated me, but the extra cost would end up just under our regular groomer’s fee, and the LivingSocial voucher was already paid for. When we showed up with the dogs the next morning for their appointment, the owner claimed we could NOT add the extra services; all they would receive was a bath. If we wanted the other options, we should have bought the full-groom voucher. I was very angry at Nicole (the owner, who seems to be the only person working here), but was not going to vent my frustration (yet) since she had our dogs in her possession. When I came back to get the dogs several hours later, I asked why her website stated a bath included those extras if it did not. She claimed that was some kind of mini-groom and that I was getting a good deal (…Excuse me?? $12 to bathe one dog?!? And that’s half price!)! I said, but the website says a BATH includes those, why? She said, “Well I guess you should have called to check, then.” In my opinion, this was extremely rude and terrible customer service. Isn’t the point of putting your company on a half-price site (like LivingSocial) to get new business? Shouldn’t you treat those customers just as well, if not better than, your “regulars”? I feel the website is very misleading and it’s very unprofessional to treat any customers so poorly. Thankfully, the dogs did not act like they had been mistreated, or we really would have had some problems.

My two dogs are perfect advertisements for Nicole's grooming abilities and her love of dogs. Wherever we are, I am stopped and asked where I take them for their grooming. They always look beautiful, fashionable and well cared for and I am so proud to show them off. Nicole listens to what you want for your dog and often makes styling suggestions. Nicole is a warm and loving "dog person" which is obvious not only when I see her with my dogs but when I see them pulling me to get into her shop as well as wanting to hang out with her when I go to pick them up. I know from my own experience and from what friends and neighbors have told me, Nicole places a great deal of importance on the animal's needs - she slowly introduces puppies to the sounds of the various grooming equipment, she keeps each dog's time at the salon to a minimum and she is able to calm the nervous dog. Sophisticuts Dog Salon has a warm, quiet and soothing environment and it is impeccably well maintained. Nicole's fees are comparable to any other salon but in my opinion I strongly believe you get more for your dollar at Sophisticuts than you will at any other salon. I am certain both you and your dog will be so very happy after your appointment with Nicole of Sophisticuts.
