        Hey anybody that will pay attention. Just want you to know that The Shell station on the corner of Randall and East street doesn't need your business. I believe this because they didn't want my money. Turns out their card reader system is not functioning. Bummer because I always pay at the pump but Good news, I still carry around my check book! Nope it wasn't "local" enough for them. I live in Casnovia, work in Conklin. But because my address wasn't Ravenna, Coopersville or Marne they wouldn't take my check. Mind you I never intended to use a check in the first place that was plan B because THEIR system wasn't working. Did they look at how long I've had the account (29 years btw) or check my ID, or call my credit union, or use any criteria to determine if I was writing a decent check. Nope, apparently my address tells them all they need to know. . No worries Shell station, take your time getting your electronic system fixed, I won't be back, and I hope MANY others will follow suit. Customer service (especially when it comes as a result of an issue on your end) is still important to me. I won't ever spend another cent at your location and likely will never visit another Shell station. There are too many other gas stations to choose from.
