Westlake Apartments

To anyone interested in living here, please look somewhere else that is not Lindsey Management. The staff here are the rudest, most ignorant, biggity, and racist people with which I have ever had the misfortune of dealing.

PEOPLE: I live next to a member of their maintenance staff who has several times violated the lease and been very disrupting. He has many guests over almost every weekend and they are very loud and annoying. One night, during their drunken escapades, one of them decided it would be fun to knock on my door repeated at 4am. My neighbor also keeps a rocking chair in the walkway, which is a direct violation of the lease, and also likes to park his motorcycle in the walkway when it rains. One day I discovered that my bicycle, which was chained to a post in a proper storage area outside my apartment, had been cut from its chain, had the tires inflated, and been taken for a joy ride and returned to its place as if someone decided it was now theirs. Who else would have the capability of such actions other than my neighbor who is part of the maintenance staff?

APARTMENT: The apartments themselves are outdated with equally outdated appliances that fall apart and cost you on your utility bill. Upon initially moving in the carpets had pink stains in every room, the blinds and base boards appeared to have never been cleaned (although they automatically take $140 out of the $250 deposit for “cleaning”), all the outlets in the apartment were literally falling off the wall, and the front door handle looked like it was about to fall off as well. After three years these things are still not fixed, despite several requests. The walls are paper thing, I can hear conversations from my neighbors, and constantly get to listen to creaking and stomping from my upstairs neighbors.

GROUNDS: The grounds are pathetic to say the least. The outsides of the buildings look awful and discolored, and the grass (or lack of grass) is mostly dead and full of mud tracks from the maintenance staff’s golf carts. Children constantly play unsupervised in the recreational amenity areas provided for the adults who pay rent, there are toys and trash strewn all over the grounds, and the parking lot looks like a junk yard with all the ghetto vehicles that have flat tires or broken windows (which is also in violation of the lease). The pool is usually green, and is only open for maybe three months out of the year. Even if you catch the pool clean, your nice time will be disrupted by a bunch of loud, unsupervised children, half of whom do not even live in the complex.

In all, this is without a doubt the worst place I have ever lived. It continues to degrade and become more and more unsafe. The rent is cheap, but in this instance you get less than what you pay for. Spend a little extra and find a better place if you are looking to move to Conway. Stay away from Lindsey Management all together. They will take you for every penny that they are not worth.
