not to rent with them, but fell in love with the old quirky house. Had to call many times to get someone to come out to spray for roaches, and to get rid of the huge rat/squirrel population. Left the place WAY cleaner than when we moved in, but they still took $250 off the deposit for cleaning--150 of which was for carpet cleaning which we thoroughly cleaned & even had rugs on in areas with traffic.
House flooded at one point and they made a huge hole in the side of the wall that they left & never came back to patch up. We didnt touch the area, so maybe they calculated that into the cleaning fee?
The family is very nice to your face but dont be decieved as they will most definitely screw you over. Everyone agrees: two thumbs down

I have rented for many years but this by far was the most unfair, unprofessional, and unpleasant experience. They fix nothing while your renting and has let someone on the lease walk in and take their name off of it leaving the other person totally responsible. Do NOT rent from these people. They are greedy and hateful!!!

I responded to an ad in the daily newspaper about an apartment for rent. It was a cute, nice looking place..i turned in my application along with my deposit and was waiting to hear back from Beth about the move in date. Approximately a week later she left a message on my cell for me to return her call. I immediately called her back expecting to be given my move in date and an appointment time for the lease signing; however, instead of that, she tells me her husband doesn't want to rent to me because of my children. Never meeting my children, they apparently assumed I was raising a pack of wild dogs who would ransack the place and leave the community in disarray. Very bad business practice for you to accept someone's deposit and then on a later date deny them for their children.

I would NEVER rent from these people again. They appear to be nice and polite when u first meet them but after your name is on the lease they turn into grade A douche bags. First off I was not allowed to enter the apartment until move in day even though the lease was signed days before. That should have been a red flag. The water had not been ran in months so rust came out when turned on understandle but after I had ran it for days the water had not cleared up at all. When I called about the problem I was rudely told that running the water should clear it up and since all other basic needs had been met I shouldn't be complaining. After running for several days, a decision was made to replace the heater. The pipes in the bathroom were old and water leaked all over the apt. on several occassions. The halls had a horrible stench cause floors weren't cleaned properly and the list goes on and on...Just save yourself the headache and try Lindsey Management. I wouldn't recommend Longing Rentals to my WORST enemy!
