Ken's Discount Mobile Home Supplies

I needed to replace two storm windows on my home. My handyman said the windows were actually for a mobile home, so suggested we order them through a mobile home supply store. We chose Ken's after looking online. My handyman called Ken's and explained my situation. He described the kind and color of windows (black) and gave the measurements. Ken's said the windows would have to be special ordered and gave the date for their expected arrival. On that day I called and confirmed the windows had arrived. I went the next day (a 25 mile drive) to pick up the order. When I arrived, I was asked what the measurements of the windows were. I said I did not know; I was just picking up my order. The man said he had not written down the size. I called my handymen who was at that moment away from my home. He no longer remembered the measurements. So we had to guess. Also, the man said the windows were unavailable in black. My only alternative was to get unpainted windows and to paint them. The man assured me I could return the windows with receipt if they did not work.

Back at home, I discovered that one of the windows would not fit, and the style was considerably different from my existing windows. I decided to return them.

I returned with my receipt. A different man than the one I had dealt with originally told me there would be a 10% restocking charge. When I protested, he said the charge was because the windows were special ordered. I said the first man had told me just the opposite. He brought me into an office and we consulted with the man I had originally dealt with. The man pointed to the bottom of the sales ticket which said, "All Sales Final." I said that was the opposite of what he had told me when I picked up the windows. He finally agreed to a full refund but acted as if he was doing me a big favor.

I will say the windows seemed to be of good quality at a decent price. I received a full refund but wasted a lot of time.
