Mr. Clean Ducts

Company very informative

With little to no knowledge of how the dryer vent was clean, this company was very informative and explained to me step by step of how the dryer vent was to be cleaned. Initially i choose this company because their prices were the most competitive compared to the other companies. Scheduling was a breeze and i was able to schedule an appointment within days of speaking to them. The company used some kind of spinning brush to clean out my dryer vent, and I could not believe all the junk that came out of my vent! I never knew that much lint could accumulate in the dryer vent. The techs were friendly and they did a great job!

This company arrived on time and were quite personable, agreed to cleaning the ducts, then said I should have my furnace cleaned too. They showed me some crud that supposedly came out of the ducts, but I should have asked them to show me everything that came out of the ducts. They asked when I had last had my furnace cleaned, and I told them not for years, and then they said I should shut down the furnace until it was, then they offered me a "deal." Unfortunately, my house is just as dusty, even though they assured me the ducts were clean. I would not recommend this company.

I called this company because while my oven was doing a "self-cleaning" it made a strong burnt smell in my house and I have always wanted my ducts cleaned anyways. When the technician arrived they got right to work and I stayed close to make sure that I was satisfied with their work. I rarely call people for my household services because I like to do them myself. I was surprised to see all the junk out of my ducts and dryer vent. They also sanitized which left my house smelling great. I am happy with the service I feel like my house is accumulating dust a lot less and my dryer is running more efficient. Definitely worth the money!

After reading the two evaluations I was a bit concerned...especially since they were in the middle of the job. However, I stayed with them, observing and asking questions and making sure they did everything they were supposed to. The final outcome was that they did the job they hired for and completed the additional work I wanted to my satisfaction. I tend to be a demanding homeowner and I ask a lot of questions...they were responsive, courteous and polite throughout the job.

Wish I had read the previous review. Much as that one said, I bought a Groupon, and they still walked away with a $900 check. The entire time was dire predictions of "this is broken, that is broken" and upselling. He kept expressing concern for our health, etc. and kept telling me what a deal he was giving me. I thought he was doing about $500 in extra work, the way he had phrased it, then the final bill came to $900. Just backchecked their work -- suffice it to say, it doesn't look all that "finished" to me. I agree; DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.

I bought two vouchers on Groupon for duct cleaning from this company. They arrived early and from the first moment, the owner began a high pressure sales pitch for extra services to the tune of $4000.. One furnace was not working at the time (we had not used it yet this year) but he insisted it was important to clean it. He was very personable and expressed great concern for my health and my tenants' health, which is why the insanity of the whole situation was not immediately apparent. I finally agreed to almost $1000 in extra services. He was there for less than two hours (including a lot of time upselling) and when opening heater vents, a week after he left, I noticed that a large duct was still filled with dust etc. If the work was clearly not done where I am able to see it, I doubt the expensive unseen work was done. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!
