Overall

I was referred to this clinic because it was supposed to be one of the best. My MRI and CT Scan both revealed that I have two bulging discs in my lower back, 1 herniated disc beneath them, and Sciatica (excruciating pain I've tolerated for over 1 month now) from foolishly lifting/moving a 380 pound elliptical machine by myself. A male nurse (the ONLY one there that seems to care about patients) discussed my injury and medical problems professionally and patiently. Unfortunately, there was nothing the nurse could do for me. I had to wait for the doctor: Dr. Gorum.
This doctor (Gorum) spent no more than 6 seconds looking at and scrolling through my MRI images. In an inpatient and aggravated tone of voice he said "You don't have burst discs (I NEVER claimed to have burst discs, just the 2 bulging discs and a third that is herniated) and there is no operation I can give you that will help you out. You have some slight arthritis THAT is probably the cause of your discomfort." He then walked out as if having something else on his mind.
I was honestly shocked, disappointed, and angry at this unprofessional and apathetic demeanor. I've never been treated as poorly by ANY medic, nurse, or doctor in my life! After leaving this facility, I returned to my own doctor and requested another doctor in Columbus. Upon initial consult with the new doctor (one who actually cares about patients who are suffering in pain from serious injuries), he said that I probably need a microdiscectomy (minimally invasive surgery to remove the bulging/herniated discs off of my nerves). IF Dr. Gorum spent more than 6 seconds, he probably would have arrived at the same conclusion.
DO NOT go to this medical facility! If you type in the name of this doctor in Columbus, GA in Google, you'll see I'm certainly not the only one who was treated like trash. So, after over 2 months of suffering from back pain and agonizing Sciatica, I may soon have some relief!

My Favorite Doctor

Dr. E is probably my favorite doctor. Listens, remembers & is concerned. Try to get an appointment just before lunch so you won't have to wait as long.
