The Family Center

The Family Center is a great organization here in Maury County. Whenever I walk into the doors there, I feel nothing but compassion and understanding from the ladies. I have been able to cry with them, rejoice with them, pray with them, and share with them. I can say for certain that the group that is with The Family Center strive on a daily basis to meet each individual's needs that walk through their door and is heartbroken when more cannot be done. This organization is a blessing for so many in this community.

We apologize you did not have a pleasant experience when your sister requested assistance. Although your sister may have been eligible there may be other reasons why she did not receive assistance. I found this organization while helping my sister find assistance. She met every qualification to receive help, based on their requirements, but she was unfortunately ignored. She works full-time and only needed one time assistance due to an unexpected medical expense. They suggested that she contact local churches, who in turn referred her back to point A - The Family Center. It was a shame. I ended up taking out a personal loan to keep her power on. Later the next day we discovered that her neighbor had received assistance the day my sister had sought help for an amount twice what she needed and that they actually received assistance several times due to one member constantly switching jobs. This place is a complete disgrace in my opinion.
