Overall

The worst place I've EVER had to live. Staff is super nice when they are taking your money, after that you mean no more to them than the front doors that don't close, black mold under your sink and in your showers, heat that doesn't work in the winter and a/c that doesn't work in the summer, disposal/dishwasher that doesn't work, or the old dusty appliances that they'll write on your lease as "updated". Don't buy in to the "safe community" that they add as a feature. If you like home invasions, car break ins, and smashed windows- This is the place for you. Don't have an alarm clock? No worries. Cockroaches love to wake you up. A cardboard box has more insulation than the walls of this apartment. Sky-high electricity bills are not uncommon. Any place other than here is an upgrade. Save your money.

You will so regret being here. There is Mold, bugs come in and the managers are horrible people. The are so dishonest and unreliable. There is a constant change in management and it just gets worse. One said when I came to pay my final bill " What did you house get flooded and you have to come back? As a matter of fact I was evacuated. This is not a compassionate management. They smile and make you think they carte!!! NOT!!!! DO NOT RENT HERE!!!

Overall

First, the apartments are old and need complete updating. The cabinets in my kitchen are run down, tearing apart all over my dishes. I have wood bugs that appear all in my cabinets, kitchen counters, and bathroom. I can’t even cook without washing every single dish each time. This is disgusting and no one should have to live like that. This was something I noticed in the first month of living here.

Second, there needs to be an update in the insulation of each apartment unit. I experienced a dramatic increase in my utility bill month to month (as it got colder) which was difficult for me to understand since I was never at home. I do not watch television, nor do I leave useless things plugged into the outlets. In the winter months, my apartment wouldn't heat above 70degrees without the use of emergency heat and many times it would only blow out cold air. I am FURIOUS to say that my bill due to SCE&G is $256.19. That is RIDICULOUS for a one bedroom, not even 700 square feet with one occupant.

The tiling at the front entrance needs to be replaced. When I moved in here, I did not know that they mopped and that the tiling was still so disgusting. Not to mention as time went on and the weather and rain came more, the walls began to break apart in some areas (mostly near the front entrance).

The people they have service the landscaping aren't that great either. They came around one morning at 7am cutting down bushes in front of my apartment. 3 hours later, all the leaves were still in my entry way as well as one of the workers bottle of liquor and gloves left on my porch landscaping.

I'm pretty sure they haven't renovated the place since it's been open. My carpet even looked as though it was old and matted. Toward the end of my lease (summer), I noticed mold growing on my items and carpet. Not to mention, you pay a pest fee for there to be bugs, and all types: grasshoppers, "water bugs", spiders, caterpillars, FLEAS with NO dogs and more! This is clearly an issue with the insulation. The apartments are located near the woods so they should take extra care, and they don't. The management of the complex should be shamed to even allow units to be rented in such a distasteful state. I should've known it wasn't going to live up to expectations when NO ONE that worked for the complex lived here. Save yourself and DON'T MOVE HERE!

They don't care residents!

Don't live here!! The managers and receptionists are not nice once you becomes the resident!! The apartment is poor built.
1. The bedroom starts to leak whenever it rains.
2. They are using the cheapest oil-based paint for the wall, which is harmful to people's health. When the downstairs is painting, my apartment is full of the paint smell for a couple of days!!!!!!! We even can't live in my apartment because my roommate and I both start to cough because of the paint!!!! What' worse, they refused to open the windows to let the air flow!!!
3. The pest control is very very bad. It'll not be surprised if you see some roaches flying in the apartment, even if you are using roach killer. They refused to do pest control in the apartment, they do only outside which is completely useless!!
4. There is not enough parking spot.
5. The email they send to the residents are not in a friendly tone!!
6. Sometimes they have ridiculous request for resident, such as they do not accept checks which does't show the current address.
