Clarks Auto Clinic is owned and operated by Jim and Chris Clark. Their Grandfather opened the shop in 1958, originally located at N. Main and Franklin Streets, and he built an excellent multi-generational client family by providing superb service at a reasonable price.Both Chris and Jim grew up helping their dad, who began working at the shop in 1971. They also accompanied him to the race tracks up and down the east coast on weekends, campaigning various drag race cars for enjoyment. During all this time both men acquired a great deal of knowledge about automobile performance and repair. Both men have also attended various classes hosted by auto makers and parts providers to enhance this knowledge. In 1974, Jim Clark Sr. relocated the shop to its current location on the corner of Sumter Street and Elmwood Avenue. Jim and Chris acquired the business in 1987.The shop is equipped with the latest in diagnostic equipment and tools to handle any vehicle problems you might have, from a simple tune up to a complete car restoration. We are also a state certified speedometer calibration location. Clarks Auto Clinic can provide you with the most knowledgeable personnel, great service, repairs or modifications to your vehicle.
