Audubon Center placed me in the middle of a cataract surgery, and then had to stop with my eye opened and the surgery left undone because the machine essential to emulsyfing the cataract failed to function. The backup machine failed to function. Thanks to a wonderful surgeon, my surgery was able to be completed elsewhere.

I was just informed that Audubon Center charged my insurance company for the full cost of the procedure, as if it were completed. I pay my insurance premiums, and if they charge my insurance company, then they are ultimately charging everybody who belongs to my group for a procedure they could not perform.

In addition, on entering the lobby, I was presented with a form which stated that the anestheologist could administer any drug or combination of drugs. These drugs could have side effects that included death. I was pressured to sign this form in the lobby, before being afforded an opportunity to discuss medications with the anestheologist. I said that I would hold my signature pending a proper discussion with the anestheologist.
