General Info: Aquatic and Fitness Center is operated by the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department of the city of Colorado Springs, Colo. Aquatic and Fitness Center includes a swimming pool with a spiral water slide, 25-yard lap lanes, interactive play feature, current channel and a recreational swim area with bubble couches. It also has a zero beach entry, hot tub, locker rooms, family changing area and office space. The center offers a learn-to-swim curriculum, which is an extensive swim lesson program taught by trained aquatic staff members. Group and semiprivate lessons are available for infants, toddlers, children and adults, and lessons at all skill levels are taught year-round. The training programs meet the guidelines set by the American Red Cross. Its additional services include aquatic exercises, senior fitness programs, birthday packages and pool rental services. The center is fully equipped with a variety of cardiovascular equipment, such as treadmills, bikes and elliptical machines, and free weights.
