Best Buy

I bought an HP laptop on 'Black Friday' and had to bring it back the next day because every time I downloaded a game onto it, I'd click on the game icon on my Desktop and nothing would happen. When I took it back I noticed that they had a Sony laptop on sale for $50 less than what I paid for the HP and it had better features. I was thrilled because I always wanted a Sony. I get it home, go to my favorite game site online on Internet Explorer and it only shows part of the images. So I use the Google browser that comes already installed on the PC. Well... I can see the images now but they're huge. Then the screen starts flickering and the images get so small they look like dots. I get my cellphone and take a video of what it's doing so I can show the Geek Squad. I take the PC back and they give me another one just like it. When I say 'JUST LIKE IT' I mean 'JUST LIKE IT'. This one does the same thing but worse! I videotape that computer too. So I go back to the store and tell them forget that model. I'll buy the more expensive Sony.... $300 more. I get that one home and I cant get the internet to open. Back to the store I go. Did I mention that I have to drive 100 miles roundtrip each time I go to Best Buy? Mr. Geek gives me another one just like it. As I'm sitting there 3 hours later I tell Mr. Geek to just give me a Toshiba. He tells me that I already paid for the Sony and I wouldn't be able to get the Toshiba until the next day. WHAT?!!!!! I go and talk to service mgr, Steve, and he tells me that the PC I brought in the day before that they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I showed him the video. He tell's me to sue them!!!! I'm flabbergasted. Mr. Geek tell's me to please take the Sony home and try it and if it's not running right to bring it back tomorrow. That he checked it out already and everything is running great. Also, Steve gives me a $25 gift card. I'm so upset I just leave and take the Sony home with me. Well.... low and behold, this Sony is MARVELOUS!!!!!! Thank God I don't have to go back to that dang store again. And here's a tip: BUY THE BEST WARRANTY THEY OFFER AND TAKE A VIDEO OF YOUR PC WHEN IT'S NOT WORKING RIGHT!!!! Oh, and get this. I went to their online store to use the gift card they gave me and they wouldn't accept the card. I had to call their 1-800 number and talk to 4 different people before they placed my order. Now I'm waiting to see how long before I actually get it.

Poor customer service and a small selection. Circuit City is just around the corner and I recommend them. Their prices are lower and comp'ing prices is much easier.
