Crossfit Hatfield, 309 Boxing

My son was kicked out from boxing because brad didn't want him there, he was very upset since he looked up to brad and the boys there. Very heartbreaking for someone to treat kids like this! Be careful with this gym. Me and my whole family went for almost a whole year and even recommend an additional member of their gym. Very disappointed with brad and the way he treated my son!

My son and I have been working out for almost a year at 309 Boxing/Cross Fit Hatfield/Bux-Mont Barbell Club. We were both there to improve our conditioning and my son was a good boxing student. I recently injured my back doing barbell work and my son was busy with other sports. I stopped coming to the gym to recover and intended to continue with my workouts when I felt ready. I tried to call Brad, the owner of the gym, but my calls were never returned. Wanting to continue my son’s training and schedule private sessions, I showed up before my scheduled class. When Brad asked if I was there to work out, I said “no.” His response was, "Good, because I don't want you here anymore." When I asked if he was kidding, he said “no.” I asked why I wasn't welcome anymore and his answer was, “your kid doesn't want to box and I don't want to force him, and classes are better without you here.” I was totally shocked at this man's response to someone who has been a faithful customer and whose son totally looked up to him. I drove around to the front door to tell Brad that he should have at least returned my calls. His answer was that "I thought you would've gotten the message, sorry." Then he closed the door in my face. I didn’t realize the man that I was training with and who was working with my impressionable young son was such a cold hearted person. Had I known about Brad Friedman's mean spirit and lack of professionalism, I would’ve never come to this gym in the first place. I hope no one has to go through the pain and disappointment that my son and I are feeling. Do yourself a favor and find another gym where the owner cares about his students.
