In response to the review above, the legal next of kin in California always has control and decided not to split the cremated remains. Payment for these services was from a third party not based on who has legal rights to the cremated remains. It is easy to hold Funeral Directors responsible for disagreement with survivors of loss. We deeply regret any problems or difficulties survivors of loss may have. We are always available for further discussion. We appreciate hearing complaints and appreciate the opportunity to respond and resolve these difficult issues so healthy grieving can take place. Again we deeply apologize and are always available for reconciliation.

My experience here was horrible.

There was a question about splitting the ashes and receiving payment. The other party involved was supposed to put my name on the paper to split the ashes, and I would sign the paper releasing payment. When we went to sign the paper my name wasn't on it so I refused to sign, the guy there (I think he was the owner), just wanted me to sign the paper, so after spending sometime explaining to him that I didn't trust the other party to keep their word, he said that since the other party had called and told them that they would split the ashes with me, he would write my name on the paper, saying that half of the ashes would go to me, and he would file 2 permits and that would take care of everything.. Well a week later he calls and tells me that the other party changed their mind and I asked how that could happen and he said, because he needed their permission to file two permits. I told him that he should have told me that, and if he had told me, I wouldn't have signed the paper authorizing payment, he said it wasn't his problem and he told me that he didn't want the drama brought there.

I feel used and betrayed by this place, they just said what I wanted to hear so that they could get paid. I feel like he lied to me, even if wasn't an out and out lie, a lie by omission is still a lie.
