Welsbach has installed and maintained street lighting and traffic signal systems in New York for more than 20 years. Welsbach Electric is one of the largest electrical contractors in New York City. It specializes in outdoor electrical construction and maintenance for government agencies, utilities and private enterprises. Its services include construction and maintenance of roadway lighting, traffic signal and intelligent transportation systems; splicing and diagnostic testing of high-voltage cable; construction of power generation facilities, switchyards and substations; installation of transit signaling and communication systems, power systems, fiber optic networks and stadium lighting systems; maintenance, calibration and commissioning of electrical equipment; installation of submarine and pipe type cables; and storm restoration. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of EMCOR Group, a provider of mechanical and electrical construction and facilities services, including planning, consulting and maintenance.
