Adoption Makes Family

I wanted to share with you my disheartening and belittling experience with Adoption Makes Family with Dr. Kirschner. My first interaction with Dr. Kirschner was on May 6 and May 10. On May 6, Dr. Kirschner was helpful and answered general questions. On May 10, I spoke with Dr. Kirschner again and asked a few more questions but there was a bad phone connection. Later on in the evening on May 10, I called him back to apologize about our bad phone connection and to ask a few more questions regarding his company’s home study process because I had learned more through calling other home study agencies. During this phone call, he explained he was in a meeting and to give him a call back in 30 minutes. I followed instructions, but he did not answer which was not surprising because it was the end of the day. Today, May 13, my husband calls to speak with him and ask questions and immediately he tells my husband. “I spoke with your wife several times and have given her all the information. I’m in a meeting. Talk to your wife.” He then ended the phone call. If he was really interested in answering questions he would have taken a number, email, or suggested to call back. In what place of business, is there a limit to call and ask questions regarding a service that you will be paying for?? Especially dealing with a sensitive subject as Adoption!!!! It is not professional to NOT answer the questions of a prospective adoptive father just because you spoke to the prospective adoptive mother!!! Unbelievable, unprofessional, and insensitive. If this company behaves this way before they get your money, imagine how they will treat you when they get your money!!!!!!!

Adoption Make Family is a great Adoption Agency. The Director of the Agency is very caring and is always available to help out someone in need.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Kirschner from Adoption Makes Family. They are professional and considerate. They made the entire adoption process as smooth as it can be. We went to other agencies in/around the Baltimore area but they felt large and impersonal. Adoption Makes Family is a small agency which provides personal service. They brought the love of our life, our son, home to us. We are so incredibly grateful.

Our experience was awful with AMF. Dr K was very intimidating and made the process more stressful on us. When our home study expired we went elsewhere for an updated home study. We are with Adoptions Together now and love them. I would not recommend AMF to anyone.

Dr. K and his team at AMF made our adoption possible. Communication was clear every step of the way. Even after bringing home our child, they remain caring. Dr. K makes sure birth parents and adoptive parents are supported every step of the way.

Our experience with AMF was horrendous. Dr. Kirschner is a horror to work with. We had significant difficulties in our last home study, which was handled very poorly, documents were lost and the process was delayed. Seems his interest was being paid and not in supporting us in our journey. We ended up terminating our relationship with him and seeking services from another reputable agency.

We adopted two children through Adoption Makes Family at two different times. They were very supportive and responsive throughout the entire process. They are like family to us. We are very thankful and grateful for them. We have recommended them to others and would recommend them to anyone.
