Don't trust the person answering the phone!



New to the area, but living in the town of Coarsegold, when my 5 lb Yorkie got bit by a rattlesnake, I looked up veterinary hospitals and found this one. The person on the phone at 1:42pm Wednesday May 1st told me to bring in my tiny dog at 3pm. If I had followed those instructions, my pet would have died. There was no referral to the closest emergency vet -in fact, that was never suggested. I researched where they were on my own and got my dog there in 45 minutes. The ER vet told me that if I had waited, not only would've I have wasted time to save my pet, but they often don't carry snake venom because of the expense. This sounds like a clinic, not a hospital to me.

As an artist-vendor at this unique store, I would like to tell everybody to come in and visit store on the way to Yosemite or Bass Lake. There is literally something for everyone, most of which are made by local artists. The prices are very reasonable, too. The store carries wind chimes, jewelry, souvenirs, aprons, coiled fabric baskets, hats, photography, airbrushed items, clay sculpted art dolls, western themed items, locally grown and processed olive oil, soaps and lotions, reproduction glass, pillows, granite cutting boards, decorative gourds, lodge decor, remote control holders, backpacks, crocheted blankets, throws and scarfs, pillows and fleece scarfs, crocheted necklaces, tote bags and children's activity bags, chalkboards and memo boards, banners, crocheted headbands, neck warmers, decorative skulls, stoneware, magnets and more. Stock changes often and most artist-vendors will take orders for custom work.
