Daylight Donuts

I've been to this business two times lately and they were closed. The hours are not very good for working people or weekend visits.

I've been going to Daylight for a while because they are fast and friendly. Try the Blueberry Cake and Chocolate Cake donuts. They are so good and great with coffee.

Try everything! Their coffee is very good, not bitter tasting like some.

Great coffee, very good donuts, clean place. Their chocolate cake donuts are my fav!

Clearly this place is worth the trip. They have a large selection of great donuts. Their fritters are my favorite. Do yourself a favor and judge for yourself (and get an apple fritter too).

I strolled in to Daylight Donuts on a whim this past Friday, and I was the only customer there. The individual behind the counter stayed on the phone the entire time. To his credit, the employee kept saying, "Oh, I'm talking to corporate," but that doesn't matter much to a customer who is waiting a literal TEN MINUTES for a freaking donut when the customer is the only customer in the shop. I'm sure "corporate" would prefer you to wait on your customers rather than sit there on the phone and hear them blabbing.



Pretty disappointing since my sister, who lives in a completely different city (so she frequents a different shop) raves about the donuts at Daylight. I was expecting something top-notch - in both service and taste.



I eventually got in my car, and waited for the employee to get off the phone. Drove through the drive-thru and asked to purchase a single donut hole (what's the point of coming all that way to sample something, and then not get the opportunity?). The employee didn't charge me for the donut hole (gee, thanks), but I wasn't impressed - what I received was a partly stale, freezing cold donut hole. Bummer. I imagine the allure of the place is the various fillings...not so much the donuts themselves. I will say the pastries look pretty delicious - the cinnamon rolls, etc.
