Willy Wash & Detail

I went to this car wash on Dec. 29 while visiting family. The car wash malfunctioned and scratched the entire driver side of my car. After speaking to the manager, Ray, he assured me that he would take care of it at all costs. I returned to Colorado after receiving no notification from him. I called him and he advised to bring the car back to Utah for a free detail! When I told him that I was unable to, he suggested having someone in Utah bring their vehicle to him for a detail and they would pay me the detail costs. I told him no because my car would not be fixed. I received 2 estimates from different body shops quoting me $1000 for the repairs since the scratches were too deep to buff out. After I emailed the estimates with no reply from Ray, I called him and he started to get angry and told me that I needed to bring the car to him so he could fix it. I told him that it would cost me $300 in gas to get back to Utah and time off of work and was unable to do that. He then requested that I get 5 more estimates from detail shops only because there was not that much damage! I am not going through my insurance company to fix my vehicle. This is going to end up costing me $506 for a horrible car wash that did not even get my car clean!!
